The only one of the original trilogy I owned. Hated the gratuitous gore (it gets really bad) and the story but the combat was probably the most solid of any of the original three.

Tried desperately to get through it but couldn't - combat is atrocious.

I'm glad this installment confirmed Yuffie as canonically obnoxious.

Difficult to give a solid rating for the entire game but I compare it to One Piece (which I have never watched) - only a story that goes as long as this one can achieve the highs and lows that FFXIV does.

Played for a couple days when lockdown started, was never my jam. To this day it's been the only game my Mom plays since it came out though.

By far my favorite world of any choose-your-own-adventure game. Really hope the sequel does it justice.

Hard to believe I actually finished this game. I could even forgive the "hallway simulator" complaints if it weren't for the abysmal storytelling.

Fun game but by the time I finished I had my fill - no desire to replay at the moment.

I loved the game but it was definitely improved upon in subsequent titles.

My first roguelike - played when I was living in Japan and got a decent amount of hours into it.

Story was nonexistent to me but playing with friends was fun back in 2017. No idea where it's at since 2018.

Fun for a few sessions, no long-term potential for me

Beautiful game, fun to explore - ultimately pretty empty; missions are samey

Crazy how much game there is here - I could play it at least one more time and still have plenty that I won't have seen.

Aged poorly - attempted to play a couple times but always gave up after a few hours.
