This is a good LEGO game. Not controversial. It’s not Complete Saga, but it’s not certainly not Indiana Jones 2. The story is a little hard to follow, but the characters act so much more natural than they do in 3. The gameplay is fun and snappy, and the levels are a good length. The roster is small, but the variety is fantastic. It’s not buggy, the visuals remain high quality due to the style. It’s very hard to be mad at this game in any way. Good shit Travelers Tales.

After hearing the praises about this game, I knew I had to play it. Ultimately I was disappointed, until I learned it was actually Two that people love. Let’s see. The Mon selection is absolutely a detriment to this game. There’s multiple spots where you have like one mon solution. It’s frustrating, but Black 2 does fix that. The characters are great, and the story hard carries this one compared to the other Pokémon games. It looks really nice still. But I just couldn’t finish it. Black 2 needs to be good or I’m gonna still have Shield in my the Top 3 and people are still gonna be mad at me:

The opening to this game is phenomenal. From the first time Ethan enters the guest house, to the final Jack Baker fight, RE7 is phenomenal. It’s terrifying, action packed, and explorative to the greatest degree. However, the moment you play as Mia in the boat, the game becomes quite a bit less enjoyable. It starts throwing monsters at you and removes and quirkiness of the Baker’s, as well as forcing you to use a wacky recoil SMG. Eventually the game just becomes shoot Molded simulator, which is fine, I just wish it had the energy of the Baker encounters throughout the whole game.

This is certainly a LEGO game. It looks nice, has nice music, and a lot of characters to choose from. There’s a lot of problems though. The game is extremely buggy and unstable, requiring me to play the game at varying resolutions in order to prevent Soft Locks in certain areas. Another key issue is that the level design is very boring and uninspired, as well as being hard to navigate sometimes due to lacking information on what to do next. My biggest problem with the game is that I really don’t appreciate how they’re treating some of these characters. Wonder Woman specifically is horrendous and not even close to the lovable Super Woman we all know. However, I did enjoy the Gadget system, even though the endlag on the transformation was so long if you stand in place while transforming. Also holy hell the open worlds suck

The problem with FNAF 2 really lies in the fact that it is just a precision execution test. There is nothing else to the game. It’s not scary, the graphics and atmosphere have aged far more than FNAF 1 and the sound design isn’t as creepy. It’s just intense and nothing more but it is still a solid game.

It’s still a great horror game and I still got scared by it. Really the problems lie with how RNG dependent later nights become, hoping for Foxy and Freddy to not move and for Bonnie and China to not sit on your door. The atmosphere, sound design, everything else is just fantastic.

This game was tough to rate. On one hand, the City was an incredibly fun open area with interesting challenges and great exploration. On the other hand, there were multiple moments where I was either bored or frustrated by stupid design decisions and bad level design. On one hand, the characters and the relationship between Carlos and Jill is phenomenal and I can’t wait to see more of them. On the other hand, Nemesis was not used to his full potential and ended up being a bullet sponge that gave me some cool stuff in certain circumstances. Overall, not my favorite RE game but not a bad one in any sense of the word.

Definitely shows it’s age. Although it is fun, it feels far less action packed than other Doom games I’ve played. The levels also have some just wack design that makes the game a little more frustrating than other Doom games. Still fun though.

This was a fantastic continuation of the first game. So many new characters, new features. The story was even better, the characters are as fantastic as ever. The only problem is that Puyo and Tetris are still ridiculously unbalanced, but this game is still a joy.

To say Celeste is special would be demeaning. To say this game has meaning would be underselling it. I wish I had played this later in the year (2021 is when I reviewed this game originally) so other games wouldn’t be disappointing. I can’t believe this was a real video game.

An absolutely classic game. A lot buggier than I remembered, and this isn’t the best release of the game, but still this game has great gameplay, great music, fun characters, and some not so fun characters which bring down the overall package. Also sometimes finding levels in the over world isn’t explained well enough.

This game removes all of the qualities of the structure of a LEGO game, while also making very frustrating decisions with level design, and finally has incredibly buggy sound. Not worth anything, don’t play

Simply Put, Black Mesa takes what worked about the original Half Life, throws out everything that didn’t, and makes one of the greatest first person shooters I’ve ever played. The level design on show from these developers is staggeringly incredible, something I haven’t seen in years. The updates to Xen, The improved Boss Fights, the more streamlined puzzles. Everything was incredible and on full display at all times. My only problem with the game was that there were some mild bugs here and there. That’s it. If those ever get ironed out, this is my favorite single player FPS of all time.

(Score given in 2020, review written in 2022) Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an achievement in not just fighting games, but video games as a whole. The amount of raw and unique gameplay content is jaw dropping, and the dedication to the details of each and every world brought into the game is astounding. Each character feels like mountains of love and care were brought into them, and despite input lag combat feels very satisfying. The only issue with this games lies with some lacking and non repeatable single player content. World of Light is only okay, and as someone who has every spirit the journey to unlock them all really isn't worth it. Oh and the online is garbage but I don't even play the game online anymore.

an absolute master class of first person level design. Despite being decades old, it ran beautifully on my PC and any graphical issues can be written off due to the time it was released
