Based purely on combat and story, it's absolutely phenomenal. I noticed a few minor bugs during my playthrough but they aren't game breaking and will probably get fixed in a patch.

100%ing this game was a nightmare but it was worth it, it's a masterpiece

Story is just okay until you reach Chapter 10, then it picks up a lot especially by the end. Gameplay is by far the best in the series, Emblems are an amazing mechanic. Overall: Definitely my favorite game in the series.

They took every aspect of RE4 and made it all 10x better, easy contender for GOTY and probably will be my GOTY.

The new route is a huge step up story wise from the original's Canon of Creation, the Yuzuru disrespect is crazy though

The gameplay is whatever but the fucking story ESPECIALLY THE ENDING made me fuckin tear up, Kojimbo did it again
