Took half a star off for the characters being overanimated at times and contorting their face in uncanny ways, and another half a star because of janky motion controls and the wording of choices resulting in unnecessary deaths.

Fun, corny horror movie experience otherwise.

Taking away 1.5 stars for how annoying the caves were. A great idea in practice, but some of the challenges were just obnoxious. Especially the randomly dropped rocks and bombs.

Otherwise, this game was amazing. It improved upon everything Pikmin 1 did.

Also I hate Louie

Dead Souls is pretty goofy, but there’s plenty of times it isn’t, and instead is incredibly frustrating. Without getting abilities to improve headtracking, freely aiming sucks and you’re better off using the auto-aim. It’s pretty easy to get stunlocked, which sucks when you’re fighting stronger monsters.

The final chapter was great from start to finish, and getting to play as other characters(one in particular) makes it all worth it. There’s some gems in this game people that didn’t play Dead Souls will miss out on. The music is surprisingly good, and karaoke is amazing. Most of the substories are also pretty interesting. On top of all that, we get Asagi, who runs laps around Sayama.

Great atmosphere and a good, cheesy, action movie story. The dreary lighting in levels & the design of the Helghast really adds to the grittiness. While the design of the game is visually appealing, the game itself can be hard to look at because of the unstable frame rate.

Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is meh. It’s cool that Killzone wants to be less of a run-and-gun like Halo or Cod, but aiming is difficult, especially when it comes to making microadjustments to hit someone right in front of you.

Story doesn't make much of any sense, but everything about the gameplay was fun enough to keep me invested. At the very least I appreciate Kojima and his team creating a very unique experience. I think Death Stranding is one of those games you really gotta experience yourself to form a solid opinion on.

I think some of the character interactions were annoying, the trials were a bit more obnoxious(looking at you Hangman's Gambit), and I think a lot of the middle of the game was boring. There was a lot of breadcrumbs and questions from the first game that didn't get answered until basically the end of the game.

BUT if you can stick through until the end, the payoff is worth it. The ending is MUCH better than 1 and a lot of my questions were answered. Overall, it was alright.
