Very good
Wasn’t really feeling it till chapter 6 where the game miraculously clicked with me and after that it was fantastic.
The levels go on for much longer than expected which makes each chapter quite a big commitment, so it isn’t very bingeable as I usually did only one chapter a day due to the length of each chapter.
Story was decent but feels underdeveloped, rushed and derivative of you know what.
Great game that Nintendo fans ignored because Nintendo fans hate Nintendo games that aren’t Mario, zelda or Pokémon.
(Yes nintendo own the franchise, not platinum)

Who asked for a wooden wish?
I originally played the snes version of this about 6 years ago on the snes classic edition console and loved it. I never finished it mind you, but I got very close (Axem rangers fight).
This game doesn't provide much as an RPG, but as an experience it’s brilliant.
I honestly thibg this remake loses a bit of the originals charm, and on future play through a I’ll probably be play that version. The modern graphics kind of make this games relative primitiveness jarring although this lessens later on in the game as it gets harder.
I do think the original snes sprites are very charming and that’s kind of lost in this version (not to say it’s bad) but the original Mario RPG is one of those games that are instantly nostalgic on the first play through even if you’ve never played it before, and I really like the overall feel of the original.
The new gameplay features are cool and make the game much easier, but the great thing about it is that they’re not forced on the player, you can go through the whole game without mid fight character switching or the triple moves which is really great for retiring players and surprising for a Nintendo game, as Nintendo infamously dislike player choice/ customisation (this also applies to the original OST being selectable)
Overall a very cool game.
Geno is a fuckass character who should never be in smash lol
