Gregory Horror Show is slowly becoming one of my new little obsessions. I don't know if I'd call it amazing in the traditional sense, but if you know, you know. Gregory Horror Show is like, the perfect charming spooky project. Just familiar enough to be comfy, and just fucking bizarre enough to always stick in your head, an endlessly charming series, and this game might just be the best part of it all.

This game is pretty simple all things considered, you'd be kind of shocked it even exists, let alone its a fucking Capcom game. But you can really tell that its got that sixth gen Capcom magic they had going on when you play it. It is that perfect sleek, sort of trashy charm that made the original series so endearing. The gameplay loop of watching the residents of the show going through their routines is just the perfect mix of fanservice and nuance to make it such a treat. In retrospect, the fact this was able to get made is kind of a miracle, like a lot of this series. I don't know if I could call it a great game, but its the best part of the series, and its an endlessly lovable game. I know there is a new Gregory Horror Show project in the works, and you know what, I'm hopeful for something as cheesy and wonderful as it again.

Very relatable. I too love drifting down the highway at blinding speeds and causing vehicular manslaughter while my boyfriend cheers in the passenger seat.

Continues the trend in this series of marginally improving the gameplay every time. This one has by far the worst ending in the series and one of the worst endings in any game I’ve ever played.

Another Danganronpa, and just like the first two it has the same problem. There are two major issues I have with this title. First off, the girl who was promoted as the main character, and I’m playing as here… isn’t the main character. Let’s leave that there. The bigger and more spoilerific problem is the ending. This is an extremely divisive ending, but in my opinion, it almost ruins the entire series. But if you’ve already played the first two, play through this one and find out why yourself. However, it has the best additional modes of the entire series.

really fun movement, even if it is a little overpowered. biggest complaint is the jetpack, makes the game way too easy and none of the levels really feel designed around having it.

Very charming 3D platformer that looks great and has a lot of character. It's quite short and the controls are a little floaty sometimes, but I had a good time with it.

More fun than I expected because you could manipulate the game into letting you do what was essentially 5 jumps without touching the ground. Despite being very ugly this was charming and I like that it is inspired by the mascot for a children's hospital :)

A neat little arcade-style game based around throwing skulls at eggs and the monsters that hatch out of them. Your score is measured in the coins you collect, which are dropped by the eggs and monsters upon their deaths.

I could see this being a lot more fun if it were in an actual arcade setting, but on a console it's just a pleasant diversion.

Meet Dave is a 2008 American science fiction comedy film directed by Brian Robbins and written by Bill Corbett and Rob Greenberg. This one really makes me sad. Arkane is honestly one of the best to ever do it, with some of the sauciest games ever made under their belt. Dishonored to Dishonored 2 to Prey to Deathloop has to be one of the best back-to-back four-game streaks I can think of. Just pure immersive stealth sim genius spread across a series of fascinating worlds with complex stories. But this feels like Arkane tried cooking up a banquet for a hot date just to be told the kids are actually coming back at 9 now so the quicker they can get everything out the oven the better. It definitely feels like there's something missing.

Admittedly, I only played three hours today before realising it wasn't for me, so I don't know; maybe Redfall goes sicko mode in the FOURTH hour. But from what I saw, this is just a bit of a mess. A technical nightmare with frame drops galore and, in my case, freezing every time I entered a new area and something had to load. The AI is wonky and has literally no idea what to do 90% of the time, just running at you blindly while you annihilate it on repeat. The combat is dull and repetitive, and pretty much every battle is easy as even the strongest vampires just float towards you with no tactic other than getting shot in the face.

It's just falls flat, which sucks, because Arkane and vampire hunting sounds like the best combination since some genius thought: you know what would bang? If we made bread that's smeared in buttery garlic goodness. Like, the world is interesting, the shooting is weighty and responsive, and the villains are creepy, but this just isn't fun enough to make me want to sink deeper into that world. I don't think I was ever going to be ride or die for a looter shooter as is, but when it's this underbaked, I can't even try to brute force my way through it for my love of Arkane.

Funny for a couple seconds and then just kind of dull. But it is nice to see that they were making games like this back then - shitpost games, that is

Adventure is a brief and enjoyable romp through multicolored mazes, castles, and catacombs. There are good reasons to keep replaying the game, as the various game modes and difficulty switch configurations can seriously alter your overall experience. Although it might be a bit buggy and occasionally frustrating, Adventure is easy to recommend given its short length and charming primitiveness. Fuck that bat, though.

Really tedious, the only player input is when to shoot. Not one of Atari's best from this era.

Yep, you are certainly bombing things in a canyon, but there's not much to it. You just press a button, and the game does the rest for you, so there is no real feeling of satisfaction here. I could probably get more satisfaction if I actually went and bombed a canyon myself. Wait, maybe I shouldn't have said tha-

Definitely superior to the original version, in my mind. Loses a bit of the charm of its inventive visuals (which, to be fair, was one of the big selling points of the arcade game), but offers a more focused and tightened gameplay experience in its place. With apologies to Dona Bailey, I would rather play this one, for sure.
