My favorite game of all time. The experience of playing this for the first time is one of the most memorable of all my life.

The level design in most of the areas is one of the most detailed i've ever seen in a videogame and the same can be said for the bosses.

That being said, I really think the gameplay has aged poorly in comparison with the rest of the franchise, which for the rest of the series it's a good thing because it shows how fromsoft has improved on this, for the game itself it's a bad thing since people who have started with the most recent titles will probably don't like this game just because of that.

Also, even though I praised the level and bss design for most of the game there are sone areas at the end that don't feel as polished as the rest and there are some bosses (capra demon & bed of chaos) that have a terrible design and feel like their diffculty is artificial rather thanan actual challenge.

Even though it has some problems, dark souls is still my favorite because the good things beat the bad things in comparison giving a wonderful experience.

So yeah if you haven't played any souls game you should probably try to start here and at least give it the opportunity.
