had a few 1ccs before but doing my maniac 1cc made me love this genre to a whole another level, bullet hells are literally peak gaming and i will die on that hill

100% the hardest game ive beaten so far, and knowing this is actually kinda tame compared to other cave games makes me want to play their games even more! CAVE SUPREMACY BROS

this is probably the worst game design ive ever seen in a video game, extremelly tryhard on its edgness too, sure it is "intentional" i guess, but you can have a intentinally painful gameplay while still feeling like an actual game and not some 90´s trial and error point and click with dogshit rng and bare bones as fuck mechanics, just look at pathologic 2 or lobotomy corporation.

the art direction is great tho, think this is the only think i liked about it

honestly if it wasn´t for the underwhelming lack of content near the end game it would be a 10/10 masterpiece,lots of charm and tons of fun,specially on "ultra-spicy" dificulty

it has a great balance between being a challenging dungeon crawler but also accessible enough so it would not be the end of the world if you made too many mistakes,where most of the punish in this game is mostly because of intrinsic motivations and how efficient you want to be,with i think it´s great game design

Peak suda

There is a bit more of suda in it but still suffers from modern grasshopper syndrome where a lot of the wacky stuff doesn't seem to have much of a narrative purpose
Though the genuine attempt to make the gameplay somewhat "deep" compared to previous entries was pretty cool

OST is peak but overall looses a lot of the charm of the original by going "wow so wacky funny haha" for seemingly no reason
