Addictive, but not too substantial

Not deserving of being this big of a deal but I remember it fondly. I love the talking dog

The tropes set up in Demon's Souls are honed to a fine, if a bit rusty edge.
The interconnected, twisty map is a cool and unique feature, but not quite the sensation it's held up to be.
