A wonderful sequel to one my new favorite games, Katamari Damacy. Expands upon the ideas established in the first game. Rolling around to a bubbly, colorful soundtrack is more fun than ever.

It's kind of like if The Witness was actually a good game.
In all seriousness though, this game is a really unique experience that I think most people should just experience blind. Incredible soundtrack, fun physics based gameplay, and an undeniable sense of mystery.

This is a really solid remaster of an already great game, however it could have used some QoL updates like placeable map markers. Too many times the way forward involved backtracking to an area where there was a spider ball track or grapple hook tucked away somewhere. Also, maybe I missed something, but there were 4 Chozo Artifacts that you weren't given hints for and I didn't even attempt to find them on my own. Other than that, it's a great game with some nice QoL improvements like modern FPS controls among other things.

Fantastic world building. Great music. Fun combat. Good length. Some occasional unfair/cheapish difficulty. Worth a replay.

Dandori today... Dandori tomorrow...
I didn't play Pikmin for the first time until 2020, but I feel like it's a very underrated Nintendo series. It feels very unique in its identity with not a lot of similar games out there.

Pikmin 4 feels like the ultimate Pikmin game. Caves return to give a bit more depth to the game, there are tons of areas and interesting situations to navigate using your silly little guys. Dandori battles and time challenges were a good way to add some difficulty because the game is quite easy.

My only gripes with the game were that the soundtrack didn't go as hard as past Pikmin games and that it was a bit long to the point of feeling repetitive. I didn't quite 100% it, but was very close, and I just couldn't be bothered to go back in and get the 4 treasures I was missing.

Also I'm very happy that this game is currently sitting at 4.4.

This was my second Monster Hunter game and I enjoyed it a lot, probably due to the fact that it had crossplay allowing me to play with my friends. It's like the bare minimum considering it's only the Windows Store and Xbox versions, but it's still more than most games can say they have.
The wirebugs and silkbind attacks add a lot of mobility to the weighty Monster Hunter gameplay. I think it strikes a good balance between needing to think about your movements, while also letting you become an anime hero.
Overall great game

A fun social deception and survival game that sees a group of players trying to complete objectives and escape a blizzard while 1-3 traitors try and blend in and sabotage their endeavors. Gameplay was mysterious starting out, proximity voice chat worked well for this. Some improvements could be made to the balance though. Low winrate for survivors so far.

Masterful storytelling and pacing. Gorgeous visuals. Fun combat. Excellent world building and use of scale. Epic set pieces and boss battles. Good gear and skill system. Phenomenal acting on behalf of the mocap cast. One of my favorites of the year.

A cute little adventure game about preserving nature. Some fun wildlife photography gameplay with a neat art style and setting.

Some of the best gunplay I've ever experienced in a game. All guns are fun to use and powerful, cycling through weapons to annihilate hordes of demons is extremely fun. Soundtrack compliments the chaos with blood pumping heavy metal and adrenaline. Sound design in general is top notch. Guns sound like they could destroy the world itself. Highly replayable, damn good.

Cute little puzzle game with a nice artstyle. I found the narrator voice slightly annoying. There were also more bugs that actually hindered progress than I would have expected.

The feeling of exploring this game for the first time is unforgettable. I kept a journal to keep track of progress and where NPCs were going and still missed plenty on my first playthrough. The variety in playstyles that this game has is staggering, there are so many more weapons and abilities than past Souls games.
This game isn't without negatives however. Some bosses are just awful to fight, and many of them will show up several times throughout the world. I think this is a game that suffers from being too big. I tried to do 2nd and 3rd playthroughs of the game like I usually do with Souls games, but ended up losing motivation on several different characters because of how spread out everything is. There are tons of catacombs that either lead to an important item or Spirit Ashes, and it's hard to know where all the fluff is in order to avoid it. Despite that, this game is one of a kind for a first, blind playthrough.

Much like 0 and Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2 modernizes the classic Yakuza formula in a great way. Good storytelling, audio is drastically improved from Y0 and K1, fun combat, and plenty of things to do around the two cities. Again, substory engagement is hit or miss. I found myself leaving a lot of substories unfinished. Overall, really good game. Not sure if it matches Y0 in terms of storytelling for me.

An endearing blast from the past. Tons of Pokemon across every generation are represented in this game, and not just the popular ones. Snap pictures of Pokemon and have them rated. Lively animations and Pokemon behavior gave me new appreciation for mons that I didn't even pay attention to previously. Tons of unique courses in different biomes, most with branching paths to discover. Short but sweet game.

I've gotten some enjoyment out of this game via playing with friends, but even still the criticisms about this game are warranted. Most of the quests in the game are very boring. They mostly involve you reading a terminal, note, or listening to a holotape and then travelling to a different location and doing the same thing until you get something that resembles a short story. There are so many issues with the core loop of the game, that I'm not even going to bother describing them all. Anything I would have to say has already been said anyway. The game is at its best when discovering interesting locations while wandering, and stumbling across powerful monsters and cryptids.
