Way more different to RE4 than some people make it sound like. Barely an action game, focus is on the exploration of a carefully crafted creepy and out of place world. But when it bangs, it bangs extremely well. Replays with infinite ammos (this time around, like in RE3make, with any weapon you like, not just a few special weapons) is incredibly fun.

First one in my Metroid replay of the saga before Dread (I'll do ZM, Samus Returns, Super, Fusion. Will stick to the remakes for 1&2).
It controls extremely well, and while the game holds you by the hand a lot (not a problem for me at all), it allows you to "break" the game in a lot of different ways. Super fun. ZSS section is a bit long and boring, but what follows is epic as fuck.

Second one in my Metroid replay of the saga before Dread.
The more fun Samus has been to control, 2D wise. While it's super fun to play, and feels good to see Samus becoming more and more powerful, its nature of remaking Metroid 2 hold the potential of this game a bit. Having to constantly fight Metroids becomes quickly repetitive and boring (even if they evolve, there's still so many). But beyond that, it's fun as hell, and I can't wait to see what EPD and Mercury Steam will do with a brand new title.

The soul... Video game probably can't get much soul than this one has. Who wouldn't throw out their current life to live in Delphino Island ?

Put it in the easiest difficulty, punch a guy and watch him fly. This is the best Elder Scrolls for this reason alone.
The jank, the "vanilla fantasy world" aesthetic, the immortal but useless following fan of the arena, the weird ass dialogues between NPCs in town... It's just so good. And not in a "so bad it's good" way. It's legit a fantastic game, which becomes even better thanks to all the weird ass shit in it.
Also has the perfect alchemy between real role play mechanics (which Skyrim lacks) and more casual RPG design (which Morrowind lacks, to my taste !)

Discovering it in the summer of 2008 is a core gamer memory for me.

"Watch out for .... (deleted to not spoil a great twist in the game)" scene will forever go down as one of my biggest hype reveal of all time in a visual novel/adventure game. The game gets a 5/5 from me for that moment alone.

Weird as fuck, way more than any Animal Crossing game released afterward. Probably the reason why I consider it my favorite one even if "objectively" speaking New Leaf and New Horizons both offer a much more long and complete experience.
But it's just fun to just talk to those assholes animals, getting told to fuck off most of the time, and every once in a while being told a philosophical thought about life and friendship.

Also fuck yeah, please let me deliver half a dozen of stuff to other villagers daily !! Make me work ! Peak Animal Crossing gameplay right here !

It's alright. Nothing coming close for New Vegas though (apart from the combat that is kinda cool)

Sometimes it can get hella boring. Nothing fun happen, you're just grinding skulls and treasures.
But sometimes it can be magnificient, you'll find yourself in the middle of a storm while an aggressive crew is trying to sink your ship to get your loot, while your dog is howling to the death because a lighting just hit and your ship is burning. And when those moments happen, it might as well just be one of the most memorable multiplayer moments you've ever had.

It's pretty fun. Competent story.

Don't know why the fuck they try to make non super hero gameplay a thing, it's boring. But overall a pretty good game.

Please have Ayumi Tachibana or Jill Valentine as the last fighter, please have Ayumi Tachibana or Jill Valentine as the last fighter, please have Ayumi Tachibana or Jill Valentine as the last fighter...
Or Reimu. Reimu would be great too.

My biggest letdown of a sequel ever probably. I don't even think that the combats are better than in the first one unlike most people, I actually prefer them in the first game.
Story and characterisation is mid, and no open world is somehow a bit of a bummer. It added so much soul to the first one.

It has a few good moments though, and the OST is as always fucking insane. (Top 10 best credit song ever)

I want to bail, but where the hell is the exit ? There's no way out is there ? No getting out...

Biggest punch in the face I've ever get while finishing a game. I liked what I played during the first playthrough, but wasn't able to express or realize how much I liked it. Am I just thinking it's ok ? Am I thinking it's fucking awesome ? But the final cutscene and the credits made me realize how fucking stylish and personal this whole game has been. Just like Killer 7 before that, it's a very modern game. It's tied to when it was made, in a post 9/11 world. A post apocalyptic world, a world of violence, but somehow in which a beauty can be still be found, by seeing the extreme individualism of each of its character. They all fight to express who they are, how unique they are. And it's a fight that never ends. Never let go of who you are.
