Cool of Night Dive to give it the KEX treatment, but a Star Wars theme only keeps you going so far through painful design.

Wonderfully beginner friendly, great gameplay-based incentive for playing dangerously, silly characters, and just generally cute all around.

Cute game for demon girls who want to save other demon girls and overthrow evangelical priests and holy knights. Visibility becomes a bit of a problem later, unfortunately.

Solid gold presentation, odd gameplay choices.

True love is lost somewhere inside this game and one day I hope I'll find it.

She would save you instead of herself, a thousand times over.

She deserves the earth and the moon. We didn't deserve such a beautiful world.

Learned about the decomp project for this game: https://opengoal.dev/ and decided to replay it using that instead of PCSX2.

Beautiful, not-quite-meditative-but-still-serene platforming with a colorful world and cute characters. Appeals to me much more as an adult than it did as a kid (Jak 2 was child me's choice). I love Keira forever <3

2004

Thoughts after replaying as an adult: very odd game composed out of various experiments. More minigames and desert driving than standard gameplay, very autopilot combat sections, with occasional platforming thrown in. Jak 2 is the Gritty Edgy left turn, this is the "let's just do a bunch of random shit" left turn.

Picking flowers, touching lampposts, and talking to cats is what I'd spend my days doing if I had the freedom to do so.

As I get older, I unfortunately find myself relating more and more to Jill.

I love this bar and its people forever.

This game is a mixed bag overall but I would die for Ayane.

...and all you'd leave behind is an after-image.
