Ghost Trick was such a surprise, even when I heard how incredible the game is from friends. Its story is such a stand out that I would never want to put the game down, I needed to see what came next.

This game is great with friends where you can goof off and die a ton. Recommended for the hilarity it can create.

My second favorite Zelda game. The exploration is very fun, the dungeons are creative, and the mechanics left an imprint on my brain. The HD version is simply the original but with more QOL features.

A Hat in Time is a game that I always love playing. It's a fun game with great movement. My one annoyance is how hard the Death Wish DLC gets, so this will likely never be 100%ed. However, the strengths greatly outweigh that, as the Death Wishes are purely optional.

Pony Island is Daniel Mullins' best game. Inscryption is incredibly solid all around, but there's something special about Pony Island to me. If you've enjoyed any of his other games, please check this one out.

Compared to Mario Maker 2, this game may have less options--but its charm and style is unmatched by the sequel. The goofy hands, lanky Mario, CRT filter, and the long fall sound effects make this game a clear standout.

Celeste's story didn't really do much for me but the gameplay mechanics keep it as my favorite platformer I've played.

New Pokemon Snap is a game for photographers. I dabble in photography here and there, so it is incredibly fun to take beautiful pictures. The image editing and sharing feature, while others are likely to never experience it the same way as launch, was a joy to explore.

My first Kirby game, and what a Kirby game to play. It is the quintessential Kirby game to me, as it does basically everything you would want and does it all very well.

A very fun demonstration of the WiiU's gamepad features. I find myself coming back to Nintendo Land again and again.

Great for vacations when you want to play some board games with your family, but don't have the physical games. Best played with other people, the AI is just alright.

Miitopia is a game I didn't expect to fall in love with. It's a very simple RPG, with pretty basic mechanics, but the energy its presented with kept me playing for hours and hours. Making characters is easy, and downloading them is even easier. This game is a blast for casual RPG gameplay fans.

My first Final Fantasy game, and playing this with a friend who loves the original while knowing nothing yourself is a very fun experience. This game was definitely elevated by the people I played it with, but it is still a very fun time.

It's Super Mario 3D World, with a new side story, Bowser's Fury. The base game is mostly unchanged, aside from the strange speed increase that breaks some levels. All of my praise for the original still holds, however.

Terraria is best played with friends. If you can get someone who's played the game before and can help make sure you beat the final boss, play it with them immediately. It is such a fun time spending the ~50 hours with some pals making the world feel like yours, really getting to know it, before killing god and making the best equipment. I also recommend playing with mods, such as Calamity, as they can extend your playtime dramatically, while offering new challenges.
