A very cool noir detective story. The game is a bit predictable and follows a lot of the noir detective tropes but by having animals as the main characters so much life is added to this world. Very good voice acting all around and a few interesting locations. The gameplay is not that hard and I would have liked more puzzles instead of mostly using dialogue to progress. The problem with the story is that it is a bit predictable and safe in the end. Would have liked more twists and turns. But overall, a very solid point-and-click game you can play in just a weekend.
Was expecting a bit more since I really liked the second one. The story is just your basic Ubisoft Far Cry format in which you have 4 side villains and 1 main villain who controls everything. Some missions have some cool aspects but it all felt a bit the same. This is also mainly because of the gameplay and that is just not really enjoyable. Basically you just sneak or shoot everyone in a base and that is it. The AI is just a joke and easily killed or distracted. The multitude of characters also does not help because you don't really have a main character with whom you can relate. You are also very limited with the things you can do as each character has a different skill set. Because of the nature of these missions you are probably just using one character which is the construction worker. The only redeemable factor about this game is that the setting is really well-crafted. London is just a cool place for some open-world action. Overall, the game is not bad but it is just very basic in its story and gameplay. Hopefully, a next Watch Dogs game will go back to a singular character.
The game has a good narrative and the cinematographic values of the cutscenes were really good. The story at points does feel a bit stretched out and it could have been shorter. The side quests are, however, quite boring and most of the times it is just go here, kill this, get this and these characters are all just a bit lifeless. The world is also amazing with a more European style to all the architecture and some great vistas.
The gameplay is amazing with fun platforming and gory limb cutting. The only negative aspect here are some bugs and the sometimes unresponsiveness of the controls.
Overall, I enjoyed my time with this game but I do think the original is a bit better as it is a bit tighter with its storytelling and the amount of quests presented. Still I liked it enough to complete it.
(Ps. the Ultramarathon trophy is, however, a bs time slug)
