Anime Fighter Award for best anime fighter I reviewed. It's not an amazing game or anime and I just did it for the shitpost but it has no competition.

Biggest Surprise. Thought this would be pretty fun but it's way better than I'd have ever expected.

First actual 2022 game on the list. This is the year I finally played some Yu Gi Oh and had a good time. Watched some of the GX anime too it's great. YGO rules.

Most Improved Opinion. I really did not like this game the last several times I've tried to play it but actually, it fuckin rules and is my favorite in the series now.

Earthbound Award. It's Earthbound baby! It's great. What a fantastic game. It recaptured my love after Mother 3 had been more interesting to me for some years.

Aerith Memorial Award for being much better than the fanbase would ever have me believe. Really does deserve its legacy. I am a Cloud Strife guy now

GOAT award for being GOAT

Puyo Award for outstanding achievement in the field of Kirby. On this playthrough, I started liking it a ton again. More than Superstar.

Hell Yeah award for most Hell Yeah moment. If you know you know

Catharsis award for allowing me to finally write the thing and rest for all time. All is well.

Award given to the series to being the closest thing to an ace romance in gaming. Accidental obviously.

Game of the Year. I played 900+ hours of FFXIV over the whole year and no game could be considered more defining of 2022. I could talk shit for hours but I could also talk sugar for hours. FFXIV is a land of contrasts and kickass songs.

Game that most ruined my steam metrics forever.
