If you're looking for more Borderlands after Borderlands 2, or let alone 3, this is not it. It's just a really messed BL3. The writing also did not get better, IT GOT WORSE. Loot drop RNG start out terrible, and only increases through getting collectable dice. This means you start out consistently getting garbage loot which makes enemies feel like damage sponges, and melee weapons are basically useless. All of the abilities feel cool on paper but the execution is terrible. Just go play Borderlands 2 again. Or get it. It's usually really cheap.

I put in way too much time into this game before burning out on it. It's really good, but I just don't feel the need to come back to it. There's just so many things that annoyed me. Death by a thousand cuts I suppose. At least it's nice looking.

SIGNALIS is a love letter to Resident Evil 1 with it's own modern take on things.
It is rare that a survival horror game comes out and I have any interest at all in it. SIGNALIS is one of those. It reminds me how much I love psychological horror. This game can be genuinely terrifying on your first playthrough. I cannot recommend it enough.

A very good prequel, or pre-sequal if you would, to Borderlands 2. Uses the same engine and assets as Borderlands 2. It's just more Borderlands 2, but a little different. I think it's better than Borderlands 2, but Borderlands 2 with all of it's DLC is just so much more to play, unfortunately making Pre-Sequel just not nearly as replayable. I do like that Pre-Sequel added more things like the player character speaking in conversation at times. It's worth playing if you've played Borderlands 2 and liked it.

This game, along with the first Borderlands game truely pioneered the shoot and loot genre. We don't talk about Hellgate London.
This game has fast paced shooting with very good feeling guns and in some cases melee, minor platforming, and really interesting RPG mechanics. Although the story is not too complicated, there is a lot of lore if you look deeper and listen to things like ECHO logs. Borderlands 2 is simple in design but incredibly addictive. My only problem is that for some reason the PC version of Borderlands 2 is not very well optimized. I get terrible framerate on my 3060ti.

This game means so much to me words cannot describe... But I'll be damned if I don't try!
FFXIV is very easy to get into even if you have never played another MMORPG. There's no manual stat allocation or choosing abilities or anything like that, which also means that there's no fear of messing up your build or anything. Most of the progression is through Main Scenario Quests(MSQ), leveling, and gear. The best part of it is that you can FREELY SWITCH to ANY job you have unlocked. No need to make like 20 alts to try different jobs.

The gameplay is more focused on MSQ content as well as linear 4 person dungeons and 8 person Trials. Trials are like a big boss fight with interesting mechanics that get more complicated the newer the content, and usually has a banger OST. Each trial has a harder version too, called an EX Trial, and they're usually much harder than the regular version, as well as at level cap for that expansion.

FFXIV has always been described as an RPG first and an MMO second. The story is very very good, but you need to get through the entirety of A Realm Reborn(the base game) and like half of Heavensward(the first expansion). That's like 100 hours... BUT if you can put in that 100 hours, the next 500+ will be well worth it. I think making friends in-game really helped me with not dropping off during those first few hours. The last thing is each duty, like a dungeon or trial, has a maximum level that you sync down to. It may seem odd at first, but this way not only can new players enjoy the content as intended, but so can those who are already well past the level of the duty. It wouldn't be any fun going into the climactic final trial of like Shadowbringers, a very good and emotionally heavy expansion, for the first time just to have the party kill it in like 5 seconds flat. Trust me, It's great.

As for the community, while it does have some stand out bad eggs, the overwhelming majority of the community are kind and caring folk that are especially welcome to new players, so you can always ask other people for help and most of the time you can get a straight answer. The community is probably the second shining star of the game next to MSQ. I have made many good friends in this game and really feel like I'm part of the community. I even used to be more introverted but FFXIV has made me come out of my shell.

FFXIV feels like home to me, and I implore you to try it if you are even remotely interested in what I just spewed over this review. Maybe you'll find yourself a second home as well. <3

I live in a household where sitting is prohibited even at school due to religious reasons. I was always so envious watching all my friends sit in their own chairs. It was like being homeless and in the rain with no shelter. Now that I found this 2003 Toshiba laptop in a ditch by my high school, I can have my own chairs to call home.

Great open world, solid story, okay combat, great gear progression, and amazing iconic side quests. There's so much to do, and so much replayability. This will forever be one of my favorite games ever. Something about being a broken overpowered specialized monster in terms of stats in the end is just great honestly.

THIS GAME IS STILL BETTER THAN SKYRIM I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL BUT IF I HAVE TO DO THE SEWERS ENTRANCE ONE MORE TIME I--[End of review]

While the game is older, it has aged extremely well. It controls fine despite the tank controls(assuming you're using a controller as intended). The pacing is great aside from the backtracking at the beginning. Every location is interesting, and although more leaning on the action side, Resident Evil 4 can be genuinely terrifying the first time though at some points(I'm looking at you, Regenerators). The game can be a bit difficult at first, but once you learn how everything works, I really recommend a second playthrough on Professional difficulty. All of this combined makes it such a good game.

Now, allow me to talk about something that in my opinion takes the game from great to fantastic, the Resident Evil 4 HD Project. [https://www.re4hd.com]. The effort this one guy put into this game is incredible and makes the game look so much better. Even if it's your first time playing, It may be worth setting this up first. It also adds re4_tweaks which adds more options and fixes to the game. Almost like an unofficial community patch.

If you have not played it, you really should at some point.

Honestly, I didn't think they could do it, but this may just be one of my favorite games in the franchise. The weapon selection is great, they all feel great, the level design is fantastic as it is very reminiscent of Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal, and the movement feels just as good. The game looks so pretty too!

I did have some Issues though that I have to address. Sometimes, in some areas, my framerate takes a serious dive. In two different planets, in specific areas that you go through normally, it can get as low as 20fps for me with a mix of medium, high and ultra settings on a 3060ti, which is very inconsistent with the rest of the game that runs very smooth. Maybe this will get fixed in the future as well as some crashes that trigger pretty consistently with a specific weapon.

I was excited for this game when it was announced that it was coming to PC, and I am glad that it lived up to my expectations and more. When I finished this game not once, not twice, not three, but FOUR times, I could not stop gushing about it to my friends!

Honestly, it's up there with Going Commando, Deadlocked, and Future: Crack in Time.

It's just Portal with ray tracing... AND a new coat of paint!
I would gibe it the same rating as Portal, however, while it does look pretty as hell, it ran TERRIBLY on minimum settings on my 3060ti. How?? I got less than 30fps on MINIMUM SETTINGS. I feel very conflicted about this.

They somehow made it better than Portal 1. I don't know how but they did it.

Short but sweet. I can see why it got so popular.

2022

It was a lovely little game. <3
Took me about an hour to get all achievements. I recommend it and it's only like a half hour long. It has a nostalgic feel to it.

REALLY GOOD GAME, BAD HITMAN GAME.
It was jarring going from Blood Money to Absolution with the drastic change in game design, but overall I had a really good time. Just don't expect a normal Hitman game going in. It's a very well executed action stealth game however.
