If not for the disgraceful technical state of the game I'd have given this a 10/10. It is a truly excellent game and the Jedi series is my favourite Star Wars story period.
By the point you have probably heard about the state of the game on PC but it's state on PS5 is also not talked about enough. The performance mode almost never maintains 60 FPS nor does the quality mode really ever maintain 30 fps. On top of that the image quality in performance mode is abysmal which is a real shame because the actual graphical fidelity of this title is extremely impressive. On top of that there is a whole host of texture pop-in, lighting and shadow issues.
When we get away from the technical side of the game it really is a masterpiece. It improves on everything the predecessor had.
The combat is awesome with the introduction of 5 different stances and an array of force powers. There are many memorable and challenging boss encounters, playing on jedi master difficulty at times was a real challenge, being a huge souls-like advocate this is something I really enjoy. The story is grand, bold and a fair bit darker than not only fallen order but the franchise in general. The level and design is perfect and of course you cannot go wrong with a stars wars soundtrack.
So despite the severe technical issues with the game I still thoroughly enjoyed it and without those issues it'd be an easy 10/10 for me.

Hades is the game that really got me back into single player games after a long time away from them.
I was constantly just saying 'one more run' and that one more run would often turn into 5 more.
I loved the experience and skills you would gain after each unsuccessful venture through the underworld. Testing out new weapons, new boon combinations and working out effective strategies to tackle the increasing difficulty of the games bosses.
One thing I really love about the game is the near endless replayability. Even after finishing the story and completing upwards of 40 different runs it still has me coming back for more and that is the sign of a truly excellent game.
Hades is just good old fashioned fun and I couldn't recommend it more for every type of gamer.
