I went into this game with high expectations and somehow they were exceeded in every single way. Such an amazing journery that brought the world of FF7 to life, every location in this game was completely expanded upon like Remake but in a way that recontextualizes them in a way that makes them fit more naturally within the world, the combat was an upgrade from the first game too and the added aerial combat, synergy moves and more characters keep combat from every feeling stale. Story-wise this game hit in every single way and I personally thought the timeline aspect was done really well and the way it's incorporated never feels intrusive, 98% of the game was faithful to the OG FF7 story and the new aspects just added to the intrigue to me. I have no doubt that this'll be considered a modern classic years from now and I can't wait to see how the final part of the trilogy plays out in the future.
