I'm a moron for shelving this last year. Yeah it's got problems, several, many of which can be classified under the subheading of "issues due to old", but I also love it. The gunplay, the environmental storytelling, the WORLD, god, I don't think there's a single more compelling setting for anything than rapture. Such a cool game, if anything deserves the most high effort remake job possible it's this (although considering the state of the remaster I can't imagine it would be very good).

Great game that looks absolutely amazing on the XB360. I had to keep reminding myself I wasn't playing on a PS4 it looked so good. Really great run and gun gameplay that is clearly inspired by the Uncharted series. Some of the crumbling wall climbing sections and reverse camera angles while running over exploding bridges was pretty much shot for shot remakes of what you can find in those games. But, to be fair, Lara was first to be raiding tombs for ancient treasure, it just took her until this game to look and feel like a movie while doing it. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery and as a huge fan of Uncharted, I really had fun with this one and will probably get around to the sequels eventually. Fun stuff, check it out.

The most innovative shooter I've seen in years

The most innovative shoo- Yeah it's a good game

Essentially the alchemy version of Stardew Valley. Potion Permit is essentially a game where you play a budding chemist sent to the town of Moonbury to treat the mayor's daughter. Most of the ingredients you need for creating potions are done by going into the forest and harvesting plants, rocks and trees, or even by killing monsters.

The only thing I didn't like is that time seems to pass really fast, and you have to do everything yourself. I'm still early in the game, so hopefully, there will be some automation or even people you can hire to go into the forest on your behalf in the future.

The game design is reminiscent of the old RPGs from the PS2 gen, and gives a nostalgia kickback to those times. Played it on the Switch and on Steam. Probably because it's in the early phase still, there is some dropping of framerate at different points of the game.

Overall, give it a 9.5/10.

There are some moments of brilliance, but I don't think this game totally nailed the unreliable narrator concept. It still holds up as a serviceable corridor shooter, which is not too bad for a AA indie game from 2013.

this game is too short for how fun it is. its an arcade shooter that focuses more on comedy and entertainment than the seriousness of the other call of juarez games. shooting mechanics are way better than the other games, the style of the game is vibrant and fun, and the charm that comes from the game is just so addictive.

A game I respect slightly more than I enjoy. I think it does a lot of things very well but I would have been happier had I ended perhaps 2 or 3 hours earlier, as the core mechanic has kind of outstayed its welcome by the end. Its nevertheless a very engaging archeology game with none of that dumb hollywood schlock, you just have a notebook and a desire for learning. It also does some interesting, spoilery things with its narrative, so I will say no more

A great attempt at creating something new, and a fun platformer that holds its own even compared against its console contemporaries, thanks to feeling even more fleshed out and complete than Super Mario Land 2 due to having nearly twice as many levels.

I believe this is the better Gen 5 game, which I believe is conceptually the definitive generation in the series. While the story lacks the momentum which BW1's third act had, the fact that it isn't as "in your face", at least after gym leader 2, means that the player is thankfully left to their own devices. That being said, the story itself still has the first game's "preachiness".

The game has much more polish than everything before it, and rivals Platinum and HGSS in terms of content. It gets to a point where one could even class the main campaign as a tutorial. Oh, and almost every new track slaps.

Really great not as good as it’s predecessors, however these are probably the best Pokémon games in terms of content, a fairly beefy story, and a great post game, with many legendaries to catch, a large chunk of the region to explore the, and a two really good battle facilities.

If you think you're good at puzzles, play this game and be humbled. Never in my life have I felt less capable than in my first hour of gameplay. Once you understand what to do, this is a great puzzle game with just enough variety to keep you going to the end.

This was recommended (re: forced lol) by my fiance as my first Pokemon game to play. I wanted to try some of the RPGs she seems to like much and Pokemon is apparently supposed to be the easiest of this genre!? Well this game was hard as heck man. I did not beat a single gym on the first try and don't even get me started on how long it took me to prepare for fighting the champion. But all this did make me feel quite close to my cute little companions, we ended up spending quite a lot of time together and beat up a crap ton of other Pokemon. I appreciate how much I cared about my team in the end.

the art is goregous, the enemies are cute, the music is great (the classic village theme has a touch of somberness too).

i kept switching between the classic and remake graphics and music. they really did a lot in the remake. i wish i could play with both at the same time.

I have mixed feelings towards this game.

On one hand, I loved the atmosphere, the visuals and the audio all blended in so well together to create a very immersive game. The story was interesting, making our way through Yomi was a pretty good adventure to experience, one that I actually enjoyed.

But on the other hand, the combat felt very basic and not that rewarding. You spend a great part of the game fighting enemies, but as you progress it just gets stale. You discover new abilites aswell as combat moves, but in the end it doesn't provide you anything exciting. The enemies just start to vary when changing chapters, but they don't provide any challenges, nor do the bosses, its just very dull.

And during combat, alot of times the controls felt unresponsive, which just made an already bad combat experience, even worse.

I can't believe people thought the writing in this game was peak video games. Plus the gameplay is no where near is as good as bioshock 2 the series' peak. All around mistake with a minor save in the dlc. But do yourself a favour and look at pre release demos/footage much better to dream than to actually play the finished product.
