Put it off for too damn long but I’m so glad I finally got to it, game was so good. The last 3 hours were peak. So creative, visually spectacular and the soundtrack bangs. Gameplay isn’t 100% for me all the time, but it is super fun

you know that one video of squidward crying after trying a krabby patty for the first time

feeling like the reviewer from ratatouille when he tries the food and remembers his entire childhood in seconds

This game is like "What if Pikmin 2 was as good as Pikmin 2 fans said it was"

the developers gave this game's rights to the hello neighbor team and even god himself trembled

And still undefeated: the Zelda team!

"Link... Would you still love me if i was a worm?"

XB3:FR where the FR stands for "fucking RADIO?!?!?"

i did not enjoy this game but that doesnt stop me from thinking about it nostalgically every december

"the Like a Dragon characters star in a period piece" was such a charming concept that I tried to imagine other videogames doing the same thing but realized no other videogame has a cast large enough or good enough to pull it off

it's been a month and i'm still obsessed with Brat Overflow, send help. that title screen was made for me

A step in the right direction with some glaring oversights and issues for me. Another year or even two in the oven for this game would have done WONDERS. Releasing this AFTER the refreshing Pokemon Legends: Arceus made the samey gameplay feel even more dated. Not being able to just throw and catch pokemon anymore makes these games feel archaic, and while getting to move the camera around during some battles (only some) is nice, full movement made PLA feel a lot more engaging.

Despite all this, though, the game is quite safe. As held back as the game feels, the formula is still fun at its heart, the new pokemon are fun and fresh, the characters may be the best the series has seen, and the story is pretty solid, even getting a little dark by the end. Finally, the open world is a step that was long overdue, and despite being a bit bland, I'm glad they shot for it. I could go on (miraidon's glide ughhhhhhhh) but i'll stop myself here.

in summary - a fun enough romp with a lot of room for improvement.

i was having the time of my life playing this incredible cutesy platformer and then the ending full-force sucker punched me square in the gut and left me to die on the ground
