Absolute marvel of a game that takes the previous entry and reinvents what it can do, I learned so much about myself and how I solve problems more from this game than I did from university.

it's like really peak, then shit, then peak again, then I dont think about it, but also this combat is really good.

The dungeons were fun and I did enjoy the motion controls but the more open areas were just such a slog to get through.

Words cannot desrcribe what this game made me feel, sure it can be a mess sometimes, the combat can be aids, and the end can leave me wanting, but these characters, this world, what I did, this shit defines what I look in a game. Me.

I did enjoy the character of Jacob someone who chose to ignore the greater world for their own survival and how that can contribute to the problem. However this was genuinely boring to play where combat felt stiff and bare bones, and just felt shallow.

Wow, what a game, from the turn based combat with the timer keeping you on edge to the levels of depth with the materia allowing for near infinite combinations. This game has it all and I understand why this became the icon it did. Only complaints is that the threads tying the next plot point to the other felt really loose and the world felt empty until Highwind. My word tho, those moments, Tifa, Cloud, Sepiroth, all deserving of their status in gaming.

the series' peak im afraid

Really fun game that was a blast to play, quite simple shooting mechanics and puzzle solving but was never boring. That story is a different case as it feels like it goes in such a unique way of telling it.

Gets too ambitious with what it tries to do both gameplay and story wise that it falls apart in places, especially before you really get the more unique abilties. Though there's something there that can definitely be incredible when expanded upon.
