Yakuza Ranked

Generally my biggest priority from this series is the story and characters. Most of the games I didn't explore side content that much (probably average 30-40% of substories in each game). Combat is not a huge deal but can leave an impact if particularly good or bad.

I can't think of any other series that has such a banger of an entry point, and subsequently brainwashes all of it's players into committing to the rest of the series. Peak story, peak characters, peak pacing and some of the best combat. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Hell of a convoluted story but I found most of the payoffs to be so good and made me very emotional. Has some slow sections but the highs are so high. The combat is on par with 0 as well.
Outstanding shorter story that REALLY pulls through in the end and left me in a mess.
By this point the action gameplay is getting stale for me but the story in this is still great and feels fresh. Presentation is incredible in this one.
Has one of the best antagonists in the whole series. Don't love this style of combat but it's fine. Not a perfect plot but I DON'T CARE I STILL CRIED.
Amazing new direction and combat with an underwhelming story for me. Side content bangs.
Parts of this one are amazing, other parts are not. The combat is fun and felt pretty varied!
Servicable combat, still some good characters and an awesome final boss. Story is a bit forgettable in general though.
The story is kinda trash, but the combat is some of the best (copied from 0)

If you haven't played judgment titles I recommend them, they have the engaging "big police mystery tv series" energy in them

@gsifdgs @Moister I do love this series so I plan to play as many entries as I can. It's just a matter of time and effort, RGG has a habit of releasing games faster than I want to play them :) I just happen to choose the mainline entries so far
