this game is fine but its kinda fucked up if you didnt spend $5 your penguin would forever be naked and ugly while every other penguin would shit on you wtf

in this game you play as seth rogen taking revenge on the north koreans for cancelling The Interview. for some fucking reason, the same embarrassing things i talked about in my last review of far cry comes back to bite this game in the pooper, but this time the game is actually good.

It's a damn shame the otherwise superb swordplay here is tied to the stiff and broken nature of the grapple hook mechanic. I cannot get past the grapple hook. It disturbs and frustrates me. It is so close to being an enjoyable feature and for that closeness is made all the more worse. Your grapple hook does not have a range. There is no rhyme nor reason to where it can connect to. It can be short, or long, it can fire from whatever angle it feels. There is no need for the player to adjudge distance, or worry about how to get somewhere: just look around, constantly, for the dots. Just hope the janky jump mechanics work. I am shelving this because further progression requires, seemingly, extensive amounts of wobbling the camera around and finding the singular spots that the developers wanted you to find and grapple to. It is annoying and a pain in the ass. I will return one day hopefully less autistically and be able to enjoy the katana shinobi action.

this game is like going out with your "badass" uncle but really he's a complete weirdo and is kind of embarrassing to be around but you stick around with him anyway cus it's somewhat charming anyway i stubbed my toe while writing this review.

Improves upon the formula set in Trails in the Sky the 3rd in almost every way; I was hooked from the beginning and the struggles of all the main characters felt very real. And apparently Trails to Azure is even better than this? God I can't wait for Geofront's patch to come out.

Rare glimpses of real weirdness can't redeem an otherwise drab and conventional open-world detective game. SWERY saw one episode of Twin Peaks and decided it was his personality; although it is never directly mentioned in the game one gets the distinct impression the man is an Invader Zim fan, just on how he seems to consume media. Yes, driving around and wasting time in town is pretty great, but you gotta counterbalance that with a few super-questionable reveals and how shitty everything looks and feels. The shittiness borders on charm, but never crosses over. Some good drone tracks though.

I haven't played this yet but I'm writing this down here to keep track of games that are in my backlog.

Pull a plant beyond its planet: Grow Home is a small seed from which you can grow huge vines and leaves. You will pull and climb and glide, teleport and fall and explode. A charming time, but sadly more of an annual than a perennial.

Short and simple, and it's a ton of fun just walking around taking pictures of birds. It's a super pretty game too. I do wish there was more of the game though, as much as I enjoyed it for the 3.8 hours I played.

The puzzles are actually so simple yet look so cool. And you still feel super intelligent and satisfied once you solve them. That's how you know this is a well designed game. Couple that with fantastic sound design and visuals, and you've got what is essentially a perfect game. Not a moment wasted here.
