Games I played in 2022. Top of the list is my favorite, bottom is my least favorite. I haven't finished some of these games, so I may update this list in the future.

I don't like tactical RPGs but sparks of hope is really good

A refreshing step in a new direction for Sonic. I wasn't sure how to feel about the gameplay loop at first, but the Cyberspace levels do help break up the occasional tedium that the open zone gameplay can bring about. Speaking of, the Cyberspace levels get really good later on, easily being some of the best we've seen in years. I would've liked more creative level theming than just Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Sky Sanctuary and a random highway though. Sonic & co. make some references to previous games so I don't see why they couldn't bring back level themes that weren't used in Generations too, but oh well. Also, the bosses are rad and Super Sonic is badass in this game. Good game

I've played a few Resident Evil games at this point and I'm not entirely sure how to feel about the series. Village, though? Something about this one really clicked with me in all of the best ways. The gunplay is super fun, as well as many of the action segments and bosses. I didn't like the puking guy though. Hate that guy.

Omori is a middle of the road kind of game, personally. The gameplay is serviceable for a singular playthrough, but once you know the basic strategies for enemies and bosses the game becomes almost pathetically easy. The story is more than worth playing it for though.
