even better than i remember. this is one of those games that makes me uphold briefly the pretense that i give a shit about game design. love the way the story's integrated too. just 100% my favorite metroid.

love it when games play w repetition for scares. good stuff

ran into weird emulation issues and had to tap out, bummer :/

still very clever all this time later. true blue digital haunted house attraction. good stuff.

ive played a lot of narrative-rich video games in my day but not a single one has elicited this profound a reaction from me purely by introducing me to a new set of mechanics after a credits sequence. if i had finished it and closed melonds i would've said "yeah this is cute, idg why the response to this game is so controversial", but now. man. holy shit lol. im reeling.

alyssa played a good chunk of it but im overall rly impressed by this thing w the exception of a few differences in the physics that make some levels significantly harder than they used to be. we just unlocked jumping and its the most unbelievably broken shit in the universe all i wanna do is bounce around aimlessly forever and see how far i can push the physics... i love monkey ball

enjoying it a lot but i have GOT to keep it rolling. rly wanna pick it back up though...

sad to say i dont have the time for this thing atm but let the record show i think it's fucking awesome and impressed me so very much

loved what i played but do not have the time for a big ol jrpg rn im sorry

1993

i cannot imagine playing this game in 1993 without a guide

astonishingly gorgeous and i 100% should have given some space between myst and this bc my patience just wasnt there for it
