While the story isn't as charming as 1, nor as engaging as 2, it still pulls off a wonderful swan song for Max putting him out of his element. In my opinion the greatest 3rd Person shooter ever made and has yet to be topped. Every shot you take feels like it leads into the next and the freedom to choreograph massive shootout sequences is more satisfying than ever before. Hard mode is just the right amount of challenge to make you feel like you're barely scraping by while still feeling like an unstoppable killing machine.

Just as good as I remember it. The story is much more focused and grounded than the first and the gameplay and level design is tighter and punchier. Noticeably easier than the first game, but the scenarios it throws you in are so much fun and makes you feel like you're playing out your favorite action movie.

Returning to this one about 5 years later, there's a lot of things that still hold up and other things that I appreciate more having played more games (for one not having terrible aim)
Great start to an iconic series with a lot of charm and genuine soul

See a lot of people dislike this one and I would get it if it wasn't free, but for being a short little 2 hour experience I thought it was pretty neat. The story and its themes have the subtlety of a school play, and most of the game is essentially a walking simulator, but despite that I was pleasantly surprised with how much this reminded me of the original 3 games in terms of how the horror intertwines itself with themes of guilt and remorse. Felt like they were really pulling from SH2 in a lot of areas and at its best moments it really clicks. Worth a playthrough at least if you got a couple hours to kill.

I would have been better at video games if I grew up with this game.

Not since Yaluza 0 did I feel so spoiled by a game at every second. Just as I thought it couldn't get any better the game just progressively got better and better up till the staff roll. A remarkable remake, a fantastic horror game and an even more phenomenal 3rd person shooter. I'm having trouble picturing any game this year topping this.

Insanely fun to break and the story is really good too. Definitely the best story Nomura has done (I'm assuming he made the story)

I wish I could give this 6 stars.

0/10 Chris didn't turn into a werewolf. Thanks for the lies Crapcom

Will always fall in love with a game that makes me pull out the old pen and paper. Mainly played this because the devs are making a Silent Hill game and I'm now looking forward to it. This was a solid time, definitely recommend it.

It's not as bad as some say and it's not as good as others say. It's about on par with the first game. Combat was intense and a lot of fun on hard for most of the game but really drops the ball in the last third imo. The story has some good ideas but not all of it works. Worth a playthrough if you liked the first one I guess. I don't regret going through it.
