i kinda wish that this game was just the cybergrind and just a bunch of different endless arenas for you to mess around in. the first half of the campaign is fine but during the later parts of the game the maps start to get real repetitive and the newly introduced enemies are just a bore to kill. the only boss fights i thought were anything special and didn't just find frustrating were the V2 fights which were incredible. i love the little rivalry they have its great
the cybergrind is still so much fucking fun that it easily makes up for all of this. probably top 3 shooters i've played in terms of gunplay. just wish the campaign was a little less dull.

Like most games I play now it seems I learned about this through a Jacob geller video. He, like many others when talking about the game, focus on how you’re able to manipulate Will’s face like it’s the complete focus of the game. It really isn’t. While the different expressions you’re able to make is the “main mechanic” of the game, the focus is definitely the ARG aspect that the game doesn’t really advertise all that much. This made it come as a really nice surprise when I had to start going to some scientist guys Carrd and looking at the Steam banner for the code to my diary. Didn’t expect the game to be so meta. Good stuff.

i wonder if i'm gonna regret playing through this game like 20 times cause i thought it was funny when im on my death bed pondering how little time i spent with my family or something like that
edit: divided my playtime by how long it usually takes me to beat the game and realized ive played garten of banban about 50 times

really enjoyed this! i've been a massive kaiju fan pretty much my entire life and NGE means the world to me so when jacob geller talked about this game i knew i had to check it out. set pieces are beautiful (and evangelion inspired) and the whole aesthetic of the game is just so cool. only downside was how much time i spent wandering around the level looking for the objectives. taking cool pictures is so much fun and then once i've taken like 50 i have to spend another 15 minutes wandering around aimlessly :(. this might just be a me thing tho cause im not the most observant person and also have literally never played a photography game before, though i will have to check some more out after this one.
