i feel like when i find it hard to put down i should rate it a 4.5 at least, right? when it comes to mystery stuff im not much of a theory crafter, i just read along and get surprised at the reveal like a dumbass later, but the murder mystery in this game is fun! i found it out on my first run decently quickly, i finished in the early-mid of yule i think but it was engaging! especially because i romanced archie pretty early (in my defense i thought the game only lasted until the end of the first season for.. some reason) so i definitely had a much more personal motive for helping him

ig my main gripe about this game is that 2 actions per day does feel really limiting, even if you have many days to do everything. and its probably just a me thing because i focused on solving the murder over anything else and paid my rent back as soon as i could, but after awhile it became difficult to get the money to buy anything really. but this is my immediate thoughts after my first run and i still have multiple runs in mind so!

shoutout to the sfx department bc a bitch can stim to the noise tht plays when u click thru dialogue

"the writing is awful and cringey" well i think its camp!

it feels fucked up to call myself a fan of lbp and have only played this and the one on the psp. other than the glitches it was still pretty fun. newtons a silly guy and i like him

i dont like donuts irl but this shit looks delicious

this game called me "chunky and tender"

i have had this game since the year it came out and i never finished it because of how long it takes to unlock everything. im so sorry es but the wait between the conversations is so tedious and depressing i just couldn't do it

we need to put simeon in a better game fr

wow! you're a girl? isnt it crazy that you're a girl talking to a guy? i'm not that good with girls, haha, but you're a pretty cool girl! i feel like you're the only girl i feel comfortable talking to.. that makes you a truly special girl to me. i love you, girl

who put these here? why..? now i gotta play all of them. anyway the puzzles in this one are fun but the minigames suck. i went with oliver and i didnt even get him first try because of how high the stat requirements are. i dont really feel like replaying it to get all the endings

edit: i think it mightve been because i didnt exhaust all dialogue options with him and instead focused on going on dates to get higher stats, which is a weird design choice but sure ig

newfound hatred for horses and turkeys

the moment andrew asked his girlfriend to tie her hair up for him i knew it was over

watched someone play the prologue and i have no idea how anyone decided to keep playing after that. the main character has the dumbest name imaginable and is so annoying like thank you kokohead for telling me that the train must work on its own right after the announcer said it was automated. the weird death god is annoying too and ofc theyre sexualised. i'd ask why they call the protag 'master' but i think we all know why. the dialogue genuinely makes me want to tear my hair out, its embarrassingly awful even when compared to danganronpa standards. 3d animation never worked for udg idk why they made another game in this style bc it looks so fucking ugly. the gameplay is literally just holding forward and selecting a few prompts sometimes

the prologue is so long that it just gets really boring (seriously why the fuck is it FIVE hours), aside from udg for obvious reasons i think this is already somehow my least favourite game this guy has made. from the reviews maybe the game gets good but when ur prologue is this shit i genuinely couldnt care less

do you know how fucking miserable it is to put abandoned on a projmoon game? i hope that korean 4chan dick was worth it

i watched manlybadasshero play it bc of course i did. if i can be honest? the game's surprisingly hilarious. the two main characters are interesting. the toxic relationship is like a car crash, i can't look away. i enjoyed it alot but while watching i was always worried bc this game walks a tight fucking line into being about incest

the developer apparently said they didn't intend for it to be that way and that ashley is only possessive of andrew due to her insecurities and issues with neglect (which you can choose to believe or not because literally one of the first conversations they have is them talking about how romantic it'd be if they fell off the balcony together and died). but they also said that the continuation might include incest anyway? and i've heard they've written it before as an ending for something else?? the creator at least seems extremely... passive about incest in fiction, so i have extremely low hopes. whether or not the next episodes will include it will shape how i feel, but for now i can only rate episode 1 alone

the story/world itself is kinda interesting. its not expanded on much currently but i'm sure it will in the next episode when its out. the first episode is very much focused on the two siblings trying to escape and thats fine because their dialogue is funny as hell. i've never really seen a toxic relationship between siblings done before. i can't speak on whether the game is accurate to how siblings talk bc personally the weird incest undertones threw me the fuck off, but there were a lot of comments saying that its accurate on the lets play i watched

i was originally gonna give it 4 stars but i feel uncomfortable rating it that high tbh. im not going to recommend it purely because im a normal person who thinks incest is fucking disgusting, implied or explicit. but im not gonna pretend like i didn't enjoy this so far either

extremely good game, i love the characters and the artstyle so much, but that one part alone kills any hopes of me replaying it
