2018

The more I play it, the more I like it, and I'm not the biggest fan of roguelikes in the first place.

Every now and then I pick this game up and play some levels, but I can't get into it that much. I absolutely loved DK '94 on the Game Boy and I think Mario vs. DK is a downgrade from that in pretty much every aspect.

Monster Trucks on GBA is absolutely the worst game in my collection, and that's why here in Backloggd I'm going to give the score of 0.5/5 only to this game.

Tetris is pretty much a perfect videogame, so what do you do to make it even more perfect? Just make it a transcendental experience with an abundance of psychedelic effects, and then add some multiplayer modes to make it even better. Tetris Effect, along with the Connected expansion, is the best version of the iconic puzzle game in my opinion.

Extremely disappointing for everything, except for the music.

Gameplay-wise, this game is very unique: it is pretty much a metroidvania with puzzle and collectathon elements, where each level has different treasures to get, which grant you new abilities or change the structure of other levels, granting you access to new objectives in a non-linear progression (and I was pleasantly surprised that the game never became too confusing, always informing you about the levels to check out whenever something changes in the world map). Unfortunately some sections can become frustrating due to the fact that Wario can't take damage, so you get punished for your mistakes by being sent away from where you're supposed to go. Also, I think the game should have been a bit shorter to complete.
Apart from these two things, the overall experience is very good and I recommend checking it out, I don't think I've ever played anything with a structure similar to this.

A nicely made remake of an NES classic. I recommend going for 100% completion to get the most out of the copy abilities mechanic and the overall level design.

Overall a well done conversion of a classic. Yeah, there is screen crunch and the music is a bit compressed, but it doesn't ruin the experience that much, the game is still one of the best 2D platformers of all time.

The father of modern indie games, and my favorite videogame of all time.

Some levels have nice ideas in them, but I found the game mostly repetitive and boring.

Pretty bland fighting game. The character designs are cool, as well as some references for the games they come from, but the game is overpriced for what it offers gameplay-wise. I recommend this only if you find it for cheap, mainly if you are a fan of the indie games represented in this crossover.

The idea of this game is pretty simple, but it is sooooo addicting, especially the "Factory" mode. Also I have to thank this game for teaching me all the possible nets of a cube.

A cute little Mega Man clone, nothing more, nothing less. It's pretty short, but at least the three playable characters offer a bit more replayability.
