unlike easier games such as dark souls, sekiro, nioh, etc, that many gamers tout as "hard", super mario world actually gives you VERY little room for mistakes, with mario functionally having only 3 points of health at most (super mario on top of yoshi) you are bound to make a mistake and die many times in this game. added onto this is the fact that, unlike the aforementioned easier games, you actually lose real progress when dying (possible to lose entire multiple-levels worth.) these simple facts coupled with the fact that every single level is an onslaught of challenged end up making super mario world a world of pain even to very experienced gamers out there.

i thought it was pretty fun but the problem with all factory building games is that i constantly have the thought in the back of my mind telling me that i could have just written some code instead

i remember when this game was somehow fun at age 14, i cannot comprehend it anymore. i wish i was able to enjoy it the way other people seem to, but its just like watching paint dry now. even with all the technical mods and stuff (which was my preferred way to play before) it just makes me think "i should go do something else, this is meaningless"

maybe i have lost my ability to appreciate a blank canvas made of cubes but i just think this game isnt a very good game at all, there are other games that do the actual video game part of it better, and there are programs that do the voxel art part better

i honestly did not like the writing in this game from what i played of it, its a shame because i think the presentation is really cool

its a pretty fun game in all honesty. you spell a lot of words

david lynch wishes he could make movies this unsettling, Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse was a pioneer of surreal horror in video games, it basically did everything Silent Hill 2 did but a year later and much more existentially dreadful.

the ghost and the player take turns tormenting mickey as his soul is trapped in an alternate dimension held within his mirror, the mirror, now shattered, must be pieced back together in order to restore the path back to his reality and body. maybe some sort of metaphor, maybe a kids game accidentally made way too unsettling. maybe both! i suspect we will never know.

i appreciated when the game gave me a choice between 2 modes of play: "kids" and "normal"

one of the most unique experiences you can get from a game, loved every moment of this

ooh yes i am i little monkey!!!! i am throwing darts at the bloons!!!!! i love to pop the bloons and take out loans from the IMF and develop new technologies to aid my bloon-popping. "pure monkey madness"

probably the best shmup i have played

This game just makes me viscerally happy, the music and art are all beautiful. It's a terrible port of the game (locked framerate and settings menu to go fullscreen being literally like 10 minutes into the game lol) but its functional and the game itself is amazing.

genuinely one of my favorite fighting games ever made, the characters are all very fun, uniquely designed, and most of them can compete because the damage is so high. karnov has a teleport glitch its fun. also the beat up karnov sprite is the funniest image ever created by mankind

the "Pleb Filter" of the kirby series. many people who try to play this game will end up feeling crushed by its enjoyable atmosphere and give up on it for being "too easy", if you are fortunate enough to be able to appreciate the games truly extreme ease of play, you will find that this is a very fun entry in the kirby series that includes many things we all know and love (yarn, felt, etc.)

its a masterpiece that deserves a 5 but i still wish i could give it an extra star purely for the section where mario and luigi jump into a boat and play a tiny shmup at bowsers prostate (which makes him grow to a massive size as a result)

you feel better but not much

genuinely dislike playing this game because it requires that people dont talk for periods of time, when i play games with friends i like to be talking to them
