a look into the mind of a silly little girl and her adventures with milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk. i liked the art direction, the unclear imagery properly expresses her fuzzy and delusioned point-of-view.

nothing will ever be as good as space channel 5

MASTERPIECE. altered my brain chemistry. a groove beyond comprehension. "i'm feeling kinda.... funky"

this game was SO beyond my expectations. visually impressive with so many things to do. huge map, sort of a collect-athon. mostly story-based, and currently there isn't a very detailed home decorating system. i'm fairly confident that this game will be greatly expanded on over time, as the developers have been very responsive to feedback. as a sanrio girly i am ecstatic to finally see a fully-fledged out and polished hello kitty game.

side note: after playing for around 3 months now i can confirm that there is no FOMO.

currently 4 hours in and it's decent. a combination of stardew valley and minecraft, with a charming voxel style that reminds me of cube world. it's obviously unfinished and some systems are kind of confusing, but it's a nice game to just turn your brain off and maybe listen to some music. will continue to play!

Copies everything from DMC 1 but does it worse. Clunky combat, unreliable lock-on, guns and devil trigger are OP, un-intuitive and boring boss fights, and worst of all; the story. There is no story. Nothing that happens in this game makes any sense in relation to DMC 1. Who is Lucia??? Where is Trish??? Why does Dante have zero personality??? Things just happen to happen. We're in a village, next we're stopping some secret evil devil that's taken over a city? Ok. Now we're in hell and fighting some big guy and oh wait- that's it.

Obviously this game is just skippable but I'm glad I played it for a fuller view of the entire series. It's not hard at all, just kind of a time waste if you're not very into DMC already. Extra half-star cause I like the diesel costume you unlock for Dante.

it's gothic and punk and oh-so corny. as someone who adores the era of 00's action/horror films such as blade (1998) and constantine (2005), i was kind of just bound to love this. it's exactly that.

devil may cry leans very heavily into gothic aesthetics, and does so with prowess. most obviously would be the architecture riddled throughout the game and the supernatural terror dante faces. these themes are not only surface level, but within the game's storytelling and symbolism.

what makes the series so unique is how intensely gothic it is, while having a main protagonist such as dante. he's the gothic and broken hero but also immature, and brings a sense of youthful deviance (and sexuality) into his story.

devil may cry knows what it is and is exactly my favorite type of media.

deeply hard-hitting visual novel. angel girls suffering. go play it!!!

fantastic sound design in a game oozing with atmosphere. simple platformer set in a decaying world, one of the best short games i've played so far.

so far this is a really fun and innovative pvp that forces you to think outside the box. i love the art direction, and all the cards and characters have been really fun to mess around with. the devs also already fixed the major complaints on release, so i have faith that their game will continue to be updated. cannot wait for future content!!

has it's high and shockingly low moments. the narrative never comes to fruition, but we're left with some interesting/experimental games to explore. the presentation for this collection is fantastic, and the launcher is really cool to interact with. that aside, i eventually lost my patience with most of the games and ended up watching the endings via a playthrough. (ps: we end up getting THREE slender man format games in a row and it's pretty sad)

the only game that i thoroughly enjoyed was disc #8 (no title) by kurethedead on itch. bold concept with fun gameplay that really took me by surprise.

an off-the-walls boomer shooter full of charm and fart jokes. extremely fun. play it if you want more hypnospace outlaw worldbuilding. i've been waiting for this one since it was first announced, and it did not disappoint. the main story can be a little short, but there are tons of secrets to find that make its replayability worthwhile.

ps; this log is for the main story, but i'm def going back to 100% the game soon.

an iconic indie that feels like a genuine short film. absolutely brimming with style, i think everyone needs to play it. super nostalgic to me.
