Pretty boneless musou-like deal where you smash the enemies by pushing the buttons a bunch. Brainless but also cathartic. This ones plot is focused on game journalism a bit, as two major japanese gaming publications have their own characters, famitsu and dengeki-oh. Would make a good game to shut your brain off while playing but that's kinda it. Famitsu's design is pretty good tho ngl

nep actually shakes things up for once which is pleasant. Not in terms of gameplay or anything, that shits always the same. But storywise we get a more unique sort of start-to-finish parody of video game history, with this whole parallel universe type deal that functions as a crux for essentially time travel to get to the start of gaming. As a fan of game history, i think its neat. The plot doesn't do anything too crazy with its theme but at the very least its better than the lukewarm plots that the first two games had so ill take what i can get here. also theres plutia in this game and she is my favorite so this is the most reccomendable out of the 3 rebirth games imo. If you want to play a neptunia game, this is one of your better options.

pretty much the first neptunia game, but again and this time the main characters are the sisters of the previous games main characters, which represent handheld game consoles rather than home ones. Same exact things i said about the last game apply here, they really reuse like the exact same shit this whole series. The DLC sword you can get for free just breaks the game in half, so theres that going for it if you wanna just speedrun all the combat out of the way. Once again, I can only recommend to people with the most terminal cases of hyperdementia (me)

the nep series is definitely something you play more for the "plot" rather than the actual gameplay, especially when they reuse shit constantly throughout the series. Really REALLY standard ass JRPG in terms of gameplay, and this installment really doesn't have much going for it in terms of its plot. Pretty standard "beat the bad guy" story with a bunch of video game theming, and an incredibly quirky localization. If you like moe girls and video game history then like you will probably find one aspect of the game that you enjoy, but if those two things dont do anything for you ur gonna be turbo bored and probably uncomfortable. I eat this shit up though, so this was actually the start of me going through the whole goddamn franchise. If you wanna start here this games been remade twice already so probably play one of those instead but I wouldn't know.

More neptunia shlock but I eat that shit up like its breakfast. This one is a tactical RPG and I certainly don't have enough experience with the genre to say how it stacks up in the greater scheme of things, I'm willing to go on an educated guess and say it's probably mid. The most interesting part of this game was its characters, as they all represent different games or series and they make some pretty interesting deep cuts. Never heard of Opoona before playing this but now I wanna play it. You probably can already tell if something like this would even be your jam just by looking at it, you don't need me for that.

This is yet another revision of street fighter 2 that allows you to pick not only every character from super street fighter 2 turbo, but also any incarnation of them from all the previous versions of street fighter 2. This makes the game easily the definitive street fighter 2 for enthusiasts that know all the changes and want to do dream battles of certain versions of characters vs other versions of others. To the casual player though, this is just SSF2T again since I can't really imagine casuals picking anything other than the latest version of their characters. Interesting that this game is also a console game first that got ported to arcade rather than the other way around. You can't really go wrong with this game if you want to play SF2, but you could go just as well with regular super turbo for 99% of circumstances.

This game goes hard both visually with its homage to flat shaded polygon racers as well as gameplay wise with controls that remind me of ridge racer. The only problem is that yea the single player is short and okay while the multiplayer is a ghost town. Where the heck is everybody? this game is cool and the gamemodes for multiplayer seem really fun... Guess it just doesn't have the lasting power to build a playerbase.... So what the heck are you waiting for??? Get the game and start playin it so other people can do the same this game rules its a crime there's nobody online!!!

Am I the only one that thought this was actually kind of okay? It's certainly balls-burstingly difficult and I would never try to 1CC this, but like as a fun little continue spammy game it's fun enough. The soundtrack on its own makes me unable to hate it, that shit SLAPS.

meh. I have a friend who always wants to play this but like naw fam. I think its cool to make a proper take on a fictional sport but also quidditch isn't really the most balanced thing I don't think. Fills the fantasy of what it could be like to play it but it's also not really anything special so yea. harry potter fans would probably like it tho

Pretty much an expansion over the first. As this is based off of Sakura Wars 2, we not only have Orihime and Reni join the roster but also have multiple different stances that change up how the game is played just like the ones in 2. The plot continues to be more wacky spinoff shenanigans, and seeing the tokyo gang interact with one another never gets old. The gameplay is still classic ol columns, which is fine, but as a competitive game it sure aint no puyo puyo that's for sure. Still definitely is charming enough to warrant a play and surprisingly there's even an english patch so it's one of the few games in this series I can actually recommend!!!!!!!

cute little spinoff of sakura wars. the chibis are well expressed, the plot is dumb spinoff fun, and the puzzle gameplay is columns. play if you like sakura wars and/or columns. I guess the multiplayer could be something but I don't know because I haven't played it with anyone.

As damn good as everyone says it is. Solid fun time blasting aliens in the singleplayer or blasting other dudes in the multiplayer. I didn't really know what to expect going in considering the fact the game is uber popular and I thought I had seen it all already, but it actually subverted my expections quite a few times. I will say the tone change in the second half of the game was a bit unneccessary which prevents me from putting this on the all-time-greats S tier personally, but I can definitely see why this game became the phenomenon that it is and put microsoft on the map with the Xbox. For a launch title, they really went in LITERALLY guns blazing.

More shooty actiony with less jumpscary moments than the orignal half-life, despite the enemies in this being kinda creepier. Some of the enemies can be annoying to deal with but there's also a bunch of new weapons to play around with that are cool so it's all chillin. If you like half life this is def worth playing.

Not as crazy or as full of new ideas and content like Opposing force was, but more half life do be more half life, even if it's a bit basic like this.

20 minute lighting tech demo of vibes. Had a solidly fun time even if it was so short. Doing the developer commentary is also always a fun time (I think this was the first game to have the commentary available?) If you like Half-life 2, there's no reason not to play this.
