everybody's played this but i have to still rate it. i learned about capitalism and stock market at 10 years old because of this game

i'd give anything to play this game again. even though i WAY too young to be playing this (so young i barely understood the various sexual innuendos they sprinkle throughout the world) it quickly became one of my favorite games ever. im dying for a re-release on console, as the PC release is broken and the game hasn't been released on current/last gen consoles.
i'm a big fan of this game but i won't act like its not disappointing in certain aspects. the plot took a more blockbuster action movie style and the city can be very lifeless at times with almost no world design that lets you know that you're in a different part of the city. for example 2 had a red light district, slums, and a rich downtown. while this game looks like it copypasted the same 3 buildings throughout the city. still insanely fun and i have plenty swell memories with it.
i didnt hate the whacky route the previous game took like most people did, but i do hate this game. this game just takes everything too far. instead of the characters being who they were in previous entries, they're all just characterizations of themselves. "kinzie is smart, gat likes killing people" its like they forgot that these characters had more than one personality trait. as far as the gameplay goes its okay at best and boring and mind numbing at worst. the superpowers are cool for like half the main story until the mission design sees you doing the exact same thing constantly. the world is the same as 3 outside some stupid alien platforms they put in the sky. there's also zero replayability or anything to do once you beat the story. i haven't played gat out of hell (and i don't plan on it) but i hope they take the series in a better place next time

obviously phantom pain is better but the design of the camp is so much cooler than than the outposts in that game.

Very very fun. the plot is incredible, usually i'd be bothered by the fact theres no english dub, but i didn't even mind because this story is so dramatic and i can tell these actors were giving it their all
