Bringing that good old violence and freedom to a portable device. Funfun, mods save this game, but more mod support for scripting would unlock the game's true potential. Me want spider-man swing .

So much freedom, many violence lol. Mods add so much to the game - appreciate that mod support. Shelved 'til I get my own PC, and sticking with Nomad for now.

(Re-do review later) Masterpiece of a game.

(Re-do review later) Amazing story, exciting and fun gameplay. Let's go Nate.

CHILDHOOD -- Unfinished, but was always a fun play. Compared to Breath of the Wild though...

AHAH YES CHILDHOOD VIDEO GAME

Throughout my time with this game, I keep hopping in and out, with long periods of time between sessions. I've never actually completed the story of this game, since each time I return to it, it's been so long that I start a new game.

Playing this game was always a joy, but I just can't ever stick to it. There's so much to do, that maybe I get overwhelmed and can't get myself the motivation to take them all on, or explore even more stories. Hell, I KNOW there's a world full of stories I'm yet to experience in this single game. It's exciting to think about, but also intimidating... Whiiiich is why I didn't rate it higher. Because of the experiences I'm yet to have with this game, I didn't go any lower.

Getting my character a wife was is my life's biggest achievement. Mods make this game even better.

This is the kind of game that you can sorta play to turn your brain off. I played it once until I got a win, which took about 3 games (not counting ones where I was kicked due to connection errors).

The simple controls and popping visuals makes for a fun experience. I could see myself getting stuck, getting win after win, but I'd rather not get caught on this loop. It's fun for short bursts of gameplay (can definitely be longer if you play with friends), but for now, it's not for me. :')

Though I'd got The Phantom Pain for free at the time, and was disappointed with how short it was, before finding out that this was only the demo/prequel to the MUCH LONGER game. As my first introduction to the full game's experience, this was very enjoyable. Love me some stealth.

(Unfinished)
A truly immersive game of tactical espionage. There's a lot of freedom to your actions and methods of completing each mission, giving the player a great sense of accomplishment each time.

As well as this, the personalisation options available are vast, making your Snake feel like YOUR Snake. I especially loved the ability to give your support helicopter a song to play as it arrived. Was overridden with joy each time I heard the opening chords of "True" by Spandau Ballet play, as the chopper approached to gun down rows of enemies.

Really love this game, AND I'VE BARELY SCRATCHED THE SURFACE! The Kojima style of directing is always fun too. I'll be back when it's done :')

(Thinking back to when I first completed the game back in 2018)

This game felt like the true Spider-Man experience. This version of Peter Parker and his world is unique, though it feels very true to the Spider-Man narrative. Overcoming disaster and despair by sheer willpower - along with the possibility of losing what's most important to you - is one of the great aspects of a Spider-Man story.

I loved the web-swinging, so much so that some sessions of playing the game would only consist of swinging, and posing for screenshots with the Photo Mode.

Some gripes I had with the game included the slight lack of difficulty for those looking for a challenge. Although I understand they intended for the game to be accessible by most Spider-Man fans, I'd have liked for there to be risks to web-swinging (as stated by many other players already), as well as some more creative ways to swing (i.e. Less guided, more physics based + ability for web to wrap around structures as you swing through them). This could be solved by an Advanced-Mode for swinging, similar to Spider-Man 2 (PS2).

For the MOST part, this game was a beautiful and satisfying experience, and a great re-introduction to the open-world style of Spider-Man video games.

I loved this game. The improved visuals and gameplay, the plot - every bit of it was an enjoyable experience. Returning to this world was a doozy, especially with that first BIG event. As sad as the game's story may be (from beginning to end), I was always very accepting of everything that happened, and never really had a strong feeling against THAT BIG EVENT, as well as the ending.

Aside from this, were also some very touching moments throughout the game. I just love these characters, and feeling the pain that they feel as they go through such crushing experiences just goes to show how immersive this narrative can be.

Although some (or many) may disagree, I felt that the plot was a reasonable continuation of the events that occurred in the first game.
