most cinematic game ever made? at least from my experience, shit felt like i was legitimately playing as the main character in a movie. it was a ruly incredible experience. thanks caroline <3

finally FINALLY beat this for the first time ever this week, and i can say, after 27 years, it honestly doesn't really hold up that well. what carries this game to classic status is absolutely the overly 90s aesthetic and music that barely anything matches up to. it is abstract and weird as shit and its lovely. although being honest, i do think the cutscenes drag on a bit, but it's parappa so i dont mind it. the gameplay can go to hell, though. very ironic that the so-called "music" game has barely any understanding of rhythm or musicality to it. inputs p much only work if you press the button half a beat or even a FULL beat after. it sucks. very sad that the psp version or ps4 "remaster" (its just a port of the version on psp) dont fix this either (in fact they make it worse lol.)

in short: fleaswallow and the bathroom rap can go to hell and blow me 🖕

chell x glados toxic yuri my beloved

one of the most unique games ever made and it pisses me off it doesnt get as much notoriety as it should. nanaon-sha pls come back u were truly one of a kind </3

finally got around to beating this. always thought it would seem like a bit to do but it was actually very simple, to the point where i'd say 100%ing this game just comes naturally. everything is real interconnected so u never feel lost and theres always something to do around every corner. makes the locations feel real, yk? so yea great game overall :3

theres some actual BANGERS in here that i dont see enough ppl talk abt and its fucked up. also best vibes of the series lowkey, parappa 2 only beats it out for me cuz of nostalgia + better gameplay (the input window, while slightly better enough for me to actually beat the game compared to parappa 1, was still p tight and i failed a good amount of times in levels, particularly stage 5)

in conclusion: lammy x katy best game yuri ever

not rly my thing but the soundtrack goes hard as HELL

Did you know that your full name is Peppino Spaghetti? That's unfortunate.

15 years later and still happens to be one of the most fun games i've ever played in my entire life. this was it, the first game i ever played. the one that would shape me into becoming who i am today. it's always been there for me in life. and for that im eternally grateful.

ngl at first the visuals put me off but after playing it for myself i can certainly say that this is on par, if not better than the original. sadly it costs $60, and while everything here certainly is great, i still don't think it warrants the pricetag, especially since its a remake. nonetheless tho still had just as great of a time with this as i did playing the original on wii months ago <3

on a more personal note, think im gonna be taking a break from gaming for a while. im going to devote my time to the most important thing in the world: watching south park. and also getting a job. two in the same, really.

When I first played this game, I thought "damn, this is great!"
Then I fought the final boss and had thoughts on if this might be the best game in the series since Planet Robobot.
Then I finished The Ultimate Cup Z and fully recognized that this is the series' greatest achievement.

even if i may like planet robobot more, this is absolutely without a doubt the best game in the entire series.

This game means so, so much to me. I consider this my true first Kirby experience, even if I potentially did play Super Star (and possibly even Adventure) before this. It was the first game in the series I finished and possibly one of the first games I ever completed 100%. I still have memories of beating The True Arena in my old apartment bedroom, couped up on the floor, exhausted from all my attempts but still persisting anyhow. Needless to say I was struck by this game in a way I hadn't really been before. I became obsessed with the series. So much so in fact that I wanted to gush my Kirby fangirlism online. And I remember watching this YouTuber named Meteorz (he'd do videos on the lore of Kirby) and hearing about Amino. Yes, my first real social media experience was on Amino. But could you blame me? I was like 11 at the time I had played this game (2017). Anyhow, I still have very fond memories of being on the Kirby Amino frequently. I became a semi-popular member there. Leafy was my name and the name for my Kirby OC back then. Hell, I even wrote a fanfic based on the Dark Matter trilogy on there. Of course I never finished it but I had all these crazy ambitious ideas for it... animations and voice acting and stuff... and to this day I continue to be as ambitious as 11-year-old me would be. Some things never change. Anyway, long story short, this game is literally the reason you're reading this or any of my reviews on here right now. I may consider UNDERTALE to be my favorite game ever made, but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't the most influential to me.

Thank you for a bright 7 years, Planet Robobot. May you shine on once more.

And to Kirby, for 31 years onward.

Fly! Kirby of the Stars.

THE quintessential Kirby game, by far. It has everything and more that perfectly captures the essence of the franchise. A fantastic game and a great remake I'll be playing 'til I die.

childhood favorite, def one of the best kirby games. fuck the arena tho god i forget how brutal the bosses are in this game

finally played and completed this for the first time ever and man was i missing out on some a-tier shit. was not expecting this to be so fun. def one of the best kirby games :)
