Cute little game, pretty easy as it's so obviously designed for a younger audience. Has some creativity, but wasted a lot of potential sadly by not doing much with it. Looks stunning and runs fine most of the time, but damn those loading times.
It's too short (like, 10 to 15h) but feels unsatifyingly streched at the same time: non-skippable dialogues and some unnecessary or repeating gameplay. 100%ing this is a pain in the a**, as missing something leads to completely restart the entire level almost every time.
One thing i'm still wondering...why is Peach here? I mean, i love her finally getting a new game, but it feels like you could replace Peach by any other character and... it would still work pretty well. This game does not really feel well-integrated into the Mario Universe.

Could've been PEAKmin easily IF there was an option to turn off any of that Pikmin throwing "help", aka auto-lock-on and that weird pause when "enough" pikmin are carrying sh*t
And the music could bop little more
Anyways, i completly lost myself in this masterpiece and played for 2 days straight with only a 5h pause of sleep.
Camera angle and map design makes this very atmospheric, many cool new ideas, good controls (except throwing), surprising references to older Pikmin titles and lots of QoL changes.
I literally cried when i 100%ed this, because we surely need to wait another decade till Pikmin 5 releases o7
