Halo 2 delivers an electrifying narrative that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its unexpected twists and turns, all of which hit the mark flawlessly. Playing the campaign in co-op mode proved to be a wise choice, as it provided both thrilling action and moments of frustration, even on normal difficulty. However, the tight gameplay mechanics ensure an immersive experience throughout. With an ending that leaves you pumped and eager for more, Halo 2 sets the stage perfectly for the next installment in the series.

Gears of War 2 delivers an adrenaline-fueled experience that had me gripped from start to finish. The intense action and compelling story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout my playthrough. While some quality of life improvements could enhance controls and gameplay, this title undeniably stands the test of time and remains a must-play for any gamer.

The sound design and voice acting in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was some of the absolute best I have experienced in any entertainment medium. The game was truly terrifying and did an incredible job creating a psychotic and tense atmosphere.
The lack of HUD made the game immersive, but also a tad tricky at times. The environments and vistas were gorgeous, but because of the games linear nature they were pretty much unexplorable. The rune puzzles were intriguing but did get a bit tedious and repetitive after a while.
Where the game suffers the most though is it's combat. It was very clunky and the camera angles caused a lot of unnecessary tension that was aggravating to say the least.
With a solid story that kept me going until I rolled credits, I am excited for the next entry in the series... it just might not be a day 1 game is all.

Ghostwire Tokyo won't light the world on fire, but with solid magic shooter mechanics and some incredibly intriguing lore, it's definitely a game you should check out.
I would not consider Ghostwire Tokyo to be a horror game like Tango's previous The Evil Within series, but there is definitely some psychological spooky scenes and scenarios that keep you on your toes. Picture situations from movies such as The Grudge or The Ring and you get the idea.
The story was pretty heartfelt, but nothing I would call original. Nonetheless, it kept me pressing on to find out more from the "duel" protagonists that you play as.
The word of Shibuya City was breathtaking. Tango did a terrific job bringing it to life, even though part of the game's story was that all life was sucked away. Exploration wasn't that intriguing, however, with just your typical Ubisoft style fetch quests and base clearing.
It took me just under 11 hours, which is a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the 50+ hour campaigns that are out there. So if you are looking for a fun story with great magic shooter mechanics, definitely consider Ghostwire Tokyo.

This is hands down one of the best games I have played in some time. Remedy just might be one of my top favorite studios right now. From the bizarre story to the incredible gameplay and physics mechanics, Control is an absolute must play!
I look forward to the rumored sequel and everything Remedy Entertainment has up their sleeve!

This so far is my favorite Fallout in the series, but that probably doesn't mean much since I have only truly completed Fallout 4...
With that being said, the graphics and writing don't hold up as well as other older games, but I find that happens a lot within the RPG genre. The shooting mechanics are typical Bethesda, so if you play their FPS games, you know exactly what I mean.
I did enjoy the upgrade paths and truly carving out the exact player I wanted that met my specific playstyle. The paths are rich with choice and really let the player immerse themselves into creating the person they want to be and play as.
As far as story goes, the main campaign was definitely interesting, although I think the ending really falls flat. The side content is where the game shines, and might even keep me coming back.
Rolling credits in Fallout 3 in 2023 really has me excited for what Bethesda will do with Starfield.
