IMO the hardest Souls game period. the most fun combat too!

This is what perfection feels like.

Honestly, this is one of the worst games Bethesda has ever released and no one will say anything about it. It has game and immersion breaking moments all of the time, the "Bethesda Treatment," and while that's an issue in other games, it isn't in this game because "it is so big." It really isn't that big, even for the time it came out, and it is an unfinished game. Even in later rereleases, it is an unfinished game. I also find the characters in this game less memorable and less fun then in other games. I also don't like how the combat system is the same as it was in Oblivion. It was fine when that game came out, but to not make any improvements at all? It wasn't like the gameplay in Oblivion was groundbreaking at all. I genuinely do not see what is so amazing about this game.

They should make a fourth one

Finished a replay of the trilogy today and it's crazy to me how good these games are as remakes. They still fundamentally feel like the original trilogy in their gameplay but the refreshing of the visuals and character designs are stellar (especially Spyro 1). Spyro 1 is my favorite game of all time so when this was announced I was both extremely excited and hesitant. When it finally came out, I was shocked at how well Toys for Bob managed to keep the spirit of the original games while keeping their identity completely intact. Spyro 2 and 3 are pretty obviously rushed compared to Spyro 1 but all three games are still fantastic and this is still a great way to play the games (I still prefer the originals but that's solely due to personal taste).

Incredibly fun platformer held back by it's frustratingly brutal conditions for 100% completion

Didn't work as well as the first game for me. Also has a serious microtransaction problem.
