Looks and sounds great. Multiplayer option makes it a little too easy, and with 6 playing, it can be too hectic to follow your character through the action.

A bite size version of Super Metroid (or just Metroid to be more accurate) that while is a solid entry in the franchise, is too short (even with the superfluous extra content, which is mostly useless), and that keeps its best items much too close to the end, by which time you haven’t had much time to enjoy them (eg the space jump). Play to Mother Brain and call it a day once you’re done there.

Probably the best 2D to 3D transition I’ve ever played. Absolutely retains the feeling of Super Metroid and makes considered, intelligent decisions in transposing that into a wonderfully atmospheric 3D world.

Probably the single best of these decisions was not trying to shoehorn in every item from the series, and using only the ones that suit what the game is trying to be/do. Absolutely nailed that.
