One of the most overlooked and the best JRPG of the year so far.
I had low expectation towards the game. But, that eventually paid off and rewarding with the fun, unique and addicitng tactical gameplay and the heavy customization and management gambit setup for the 60 recruitable characters. The story might not be the most groundbreaking one but it doesn't take away the fun presentation of the classic "good vs evil force" scenario in the game. it was a pretty well-executed plot and lore-building with a great satisfying conclusion towards the endgame.

Personally, I was struggling with the hack-n-slash combos mechanic and changing classes during mid-battle. This is my personal "Dark Souls" game moment. The story itself doesn't offer much aside of it as a pseduo-prequel to the original Final Fantasy. The dialogues have some cringe-worthy moments with cheesy lines. This game was intended and designed to be a serious game while some of the scenes and the line delivery was unintentionally hilarious and meme-worthy materials.
Update: still devastated that Tango is closing down due to Microsoft's horrible decision with its merge to other studio.

One of the best rhythm hack and slash game to date. visually stylistic, smooth animation and vibrant fun characters. The game rhythm mechanic is also one ofthe fun aspect to enjoy with the combo attacks. Even though one must quickly adapt to the sudden QTE on time but regardless, still a blast experience
