Scariest Game that I've ever played. Team Silent really managed to create a game with a terrifying atmosphere by creating a sense of helplessness as you go along the game, the gameplay is tense as you navigate through each building being chased by monsters, praying the door you try to open is unlocked. The scariest parts of the game are the Otherworld levels as its more detailed in how gruesome it really is due to the PS2's superior capabilities. The graphics are a step up from Silent Hill 2 despite being made for the same console. The soundtrack is great as always, Akria Yamaoka never misses. The story of the game is a continuation of the first one and excels in expanding and furthering the storyline of original Silent Hill . Overall, Silent Hill 3 is an amazing game that manages to build well upon its original 1999 game.

Silent Hill 1 is a great game that manages to evoke a deep sense of terror and desolation. It is able to achieve this through the atmosphere it creates with the visuals and its phenomenal soundtrack. The Fog that veils the town makes you give into the fear of the unknowing as you monsters can attack you from any direction, with only the radio being the only help for you to deduce where they’re coming from, making you use your senses to defend yourself against them. The Otherworld is a grimy, blood-rusted dimension that makes you feel uneasy as you traverse through it. The riddles in the game are great fun to solve as they are challenging. The story of the game is one of tragedy and not much is revealed to you til the end of the game which makes you really feel like you’re in the shoes of the Main Character. The Bosses in the game are quite short but disturbing design wise. Overall, the game is really impressive considering it was developed for the PS1 and really Is something special.

Good Ending achieved

Silent Hill 2 is truly a masterpiece. The story is truly something special and messes up your psyche as you progress through the game, the plot twists of the game that are revealed towards the end are truly executed in a magnificent way that makes you feel empathy towards James despite his actions being wrong. The "In Water" ending I achieved really cemented how tragic the story of this game is, evoking many strong emotions. The atmosphere this title produces is eerie yet comforting at the same time, this is greatly complimented by the terrific soundtrack composed by Akria Yamaoka. The gameplay was amazing with my favourite part being the riddles as I found them fun to solve. Pyramid Head was a menacing presence throughout the game with it posing as James's personal tormentor for the actions he has committed which I found to be an amazing way to portray the guilt James had suppressed within him throughout the majority of the game. My favourite scene in the game was the final interaction between James & Angela on the staircase, something I believe was executed beautifully. Overall, Silent Hill 2 was an amazing experience that truly left me speechless after finishing.

You already know the drill, Greatest voice acting in the series, David Hayter's greatest (but hopefully not last) performance as Snake. The story is amazing as always, drawing you in with its twist and turns in the story. Great progression of the character of Big Boss finally being able to move away from the grief he endured from losing the Boss, tapping into the vulnerability of Big Boss which is portrayed phenomenally by David Hayter. The themes of nuclear deterrence and dangers of artificial intelligence are very prevalent in plot and drive home a message of how dangerous both are and how quickly they were developing around the time. Listening to the tapes in game were a joy to listen to, with great voice acting performances from each cast member. The comic panel cutscenes are stunning. Gameplay wise, The missions are short and the bosses are much longer, which leaves me feeling like the pacing of the gameplay is a bit off but its understandable due to it originally being a PSP game. However with that in mind, the arsenal of weapons and items available at your disposal to use during the missions was fun to experiment around with. The side ops missions were fun to play through as a nice break away from the story and just carrying out simpler tasks. This game has a lot of mechanics such as the recruiting of soldiers to MSF, deploying out those soldiers on missions and getting your recruits to manufacture equipment for you, these mechanics were enjoyable to play with and really enhanced the feeling of you leading an army of soldiers. Overall Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker is another masterpiece created by Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions which greatly influenced the next game in the series, Metal Gear Solid V, and although isn't a numbered title, greatly influential to the overall story of the franchise.

The best game in the franchise imo, vast improvements in all aspects and amazing gameplay.

simple gameplay but the atmosphere is crazy, had this on iOS when i was younger but never had the courage then to beat it and didn't bother til now when i decided to get it on steam and beat it. cant wait for the movie its gonna be great.

Once again, Ive been left speechless on what to say. This game is truly great. It serves as a great finale to this amazing series I’ve enjoyed playing so much. The story, the graphics, the voice acting are beautiful. This game truly has its moments, many scenes of which give me goosebumps such as the hallway microwave scene as well as the ending with Solid Snake and Big Boss. The cinematography is amazing, perfectly complimenting the story and voice acting. The gameplay is a fun, with each area that the gameplay takes place in being breathtaking and immersive. The Beauty and Beast Unit boss fights were intense, with each one being named after the original members of foxhound from MGS1. The final boss fight with Liquid Ocelot was iconic. The callbacks to the games that preceded MGS4 were perfect, using the right moments from the older games to capture Solid Snakes trauma. This is a perfect finale to a great series, a series that Ive enjoyed playing all the way throughout. Thank you once again Kojima Productions for making another masterpiece! “This is good, isn’t it?”

Again, Im speechless on what to say. This game truly is great and deserves all its praises, the story is amazing, the conflict is emotional, the action is epic and the soundtrack is beautiful. Hideo Kojima and his team truly struck diamond with this masterpiece. The Cobra unit are all memorable with each boss fight being different, instilling a sort of panic as you’re corned by each member of the unit at a time. My favourite boss battles were The End, The Sorrow and of course, The Boss. The gameplay is beautiful as you navigate the jungle of Tselinoyarsk. The feeling of being alone, on a one man mission in a jungle surrounded by opposing forces is quite overwhelming but extremely immersive. The ending is probably one of the best endings to a piece of media I’ve ever experienced, it felt like a strong tide of emotions had engulfed me whole, giving me goosebumps. Once again, Thank you Hideo Kojima as-well as everyone who worked on this game!

Wow. I genuinely am speechless to what I’ve just experienced. Kojima, you are a legend with an insane vision and talent of being able to translate that vision into making flawless games with amazing stories as-well as amazing gameplay. The social and political commentary on this has held up extremely well and is more relevant to today than it did more than two decades ago. How we can pass on our legacy through our children, books, movies, art, music and many other fields is something that truly resonated with me as-well as how media can choose what to push forward and what to censor such as concealing the truth and adding fuel to conflicts. An actual masterpiece, I recommend that people should give this game a try as the concepts are still very relevant today more so than it did in 2001. Thank you for this work of art Kojima. “Building the future and keeping the past alive are one and the same thing”

Beautiful game, great cast of characters. Did the pacifist run. Great message on how your actions affect how people around you view you and how you can control that by showing either love or hate and that determination should be a key characteristic that everyone should have as-well as always giving someone a second chance to better themselves.

What the actual fuck was this!!!

Fun little game, uses the cast of sonic characters from previous games well, kinda predictable though. Good for what it is!

Great story and voice acting, memorable cast of characters and the gameplay is pretty solid. The best part about this game is the phenomenal voice acting which brings life to the codec calls and cutscenes. Great commentary on nuclear warfare as-well as many other topics such as choosing your own destiny and not letting your genes define who you are as a person.
