Understandably easy, but would have enjoyed more difficulty that made it seem like less of a chore.

The underdark or whatever is unnecessarily large, the game overstays its welcome, the lack of enemy variability makes the game start to blend together, and the lack of difficulty makes the character progression feel unmeaningful.

Giving two stars because I did not complete much of the game, but just did not draw me in. Hack by pressing triangle felt small and meaningless, the repeated hallways and dark atmosphere was annoying, the quest tracker made me feel like a rat running through a puzzle chasing after meaningless RPG character progression.

2020

I just need to stop playing rogue- type games, because I have so many other things I would like to play, running back through the same 5 levels over and over doesn't feel like a meaningful use of my time.

Starts to feel like a collect-o-thon later in the game, and would have liked more difficulty not including master mode's infinite help fix. Lack of enemy variation makes things dull, but I wish I could erase my memory to play this fresh for the first time, love the information drip and the worldbuilding.

Had a good time, but I think I prefer the more linear Mario games to the Mario 64 formula.

I have re-bought this games more times than I would like to admit. The combat is wonky but everything else is great. Would love to see something along these lines on more modern consoles.

Tried to beat this twice, stopped playing because I got distracted by other releases, then tried to replay but didn't want to go through the same quests again.

Got bored after about 5 hours, but platformers are not typically my medium.

Drew me in with the pixel-art, and kept me with the fast-paced combat and playstyle variation. Good difficulty and learning curve.

Fun curveball of a game that keeps you guessing until it is over. Lovingly created plot and characters and enough depth to warrant a replay.

Fun while it lasted, but I didn't try to get any strawberries really. Enough fresh variation throughout to keep you engaged, but still a platformer so not my favorite.

Loved the first deckbuilding challenge and the mystery involved, and then the introduction of later variations, but the challenge with the innovation is that later stages feel less fleshed out. Story and character investment kept me through the end.
