im honestly not that crazy about this album by machine girl, im a bigger fan of some of their other stuff, but i felt like i had to include this one. i remember when people would use the palmtree panic part of this song as a tiktok audio and i was really confused why the sonic cd ost had such a popular audio on tiktok, and then i got extra confused when i saw it was a machine girl song and people who i know would never touch machine girl's music with a 10 foot pole were using it for their tiktoks. it is really funny though because this like 3 second portion of the song is not at all characteristic of what the rest of it sounds like, but hey it probably garnered machine girl and the sonic cd ost a lot more attention and i like both of those things a lot so i can't really complain

you can hear the sample at the start just very quietly lol, listen carefully. the brave little abacus is a really good band i never see enough people talk about. i think recently they've been getting a little more attention since i've gotten into them back in 2022, but for the most part when i look at stuff like their monthly listeners on spotify it seems to have stagnated or grown very minimally for a while. they also sample plenty of other non-game related stuff, most notably malcolm in the middle

the sample appears towards the end of this song, i might be imagining it but i feel like this specific goldeneye gunshot sound effect is one that gets sampled often, or at least goldeneye is just a game that gets sampled often itself. i felt like i had to throw a bladee song in there and live up to the username. wont lie though im kinda a bladee poser now i havent regularly listened to him in a couple years, but i still enjoy it whenever i come back to revisit it
