best persona dance game. story isn't great but everything else about this game is amazing.

this game is nice if you played persona 4 golden, the story is nice and the remixed tracks are really good imo, i wished the pacing was better in the story but otherwise, i don't really have any problems in this game, a really solid rhythm game

cheesy and overlong story mode but nonetheless surprisingly high-effort for a persona spin off game, i like the gameplay and the choreography

God dammit Kanji where are those moves that were in the opening movie!?

In a bold move from Atlus, they made the first rhythm game that has only 3 songs

mid ass story, but the song remixes and dances are amazing, it's my favorite of the persona dancing games. also the opening slaps.

[Ref Played 2023] I'd recommend to fans of Persona 4 with easy access to the game or who already like rhythm games
Pros: Just a bit of extra silly story with the Persona 4 cast, makes for funny gifs, the music works well in this context and the game is fun in a silly kind of way
Cons: The plot is kinda batshit even on Persona spinoff standards, cutscene quality is kinda jank compared to the gameplay sequences

Peak Persona dancing game but an average rhythm game. Yet when I see Yosuke dancing I kneel

This game goes so hard being a persona 4 fan

Fun and simple rhythm game, but the story is ass and should not have been included.

A really good rythm game packed with content, great songs and amazing performances. It's really great for what it is.

The story sucks though, but nobody's buying a rythm game expecting a story... let's be real here...

Also it sucks that you have to buy two shitty games in a bundle to even get this one good game on a PS4/PS5

you dance to the music from the music of the original which was really really good music but the music is also remixed so some will be better than others
this is all thanks to Shoji Meguro and his natural talent to make the best music you've ever heard

Way better than it has any right to be story wise. I love the rhythm game aspect of it

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is a fun enough rhythm game with a tacked on visual novel. The novel isn't written nearly as well as P4G's script. I still like the characters, but the heart isn't there the same way. I still think that the actual gameplay is solid and I had a good enough time to go all the way and platinum the game.

Chad Thundercock is Dancing Mad.
Also Adachi be like: I'M ROCKIN' IT HUH?

Control system made me suicidal. But I love to watch them dance. Mmm yummy milk

Surprisingly decent story, fun gameplay and pretty good remixes.
Sucks that to buy this on ps4 you have to buy two other shitty games...

Shoutout to Kanami, Sanami, Bonomi, Nonomi, Ponomi, Lonomi, Donomi and Yonomi

Jumping back into the Persona 4 world with its charming cast of characters was delightful. Has an incredible soundtrack with some awesome remixes too.

I mean, listen to this fire remix and get lost in Elvis Teddie's dance choreography!

That's one thing that probably is downplayed the most in this trilogy of games too, but I must emphasize that the dance choreography in all of these 3 Persona games is really well done...

One only needs to watch someone take the dances from the games, and replicate them in real life, while cosplaying as the characters, to really appreciate it... and boy do they fit each character perfectly. And I happened to find a YouTuber that demonstrated that (see below) as I got lost in their videos:

CystAAHHL YouTuber - Persona Dancing videos
Dance with Nanako cover - my personal favorite from her list and the most adorable one that she performed... but saying that, her entire playlist is pretty damn incredible, even coming from a "non-dancer". I can appreciate her talent and dedication to the cosplay craft.

But anyways, getting back on track - this is easily the best of the Persona Dancing games, even if only because it has a legitimate visual novel / story mode.

See now THIS is how you do a persona cash grab babybeeeee

totally still clears the other two dancing games

Definitely the best persona dancing game

I really enjoyed my time with this. It was surprisingly well handled. I actually appreciated the way they added more depth to these already deep characters. Not to mention that the way it played (as a rhythm game) was actually quite solid. It doesn't hurt that Persona music is fantastic in the first place.

It's sad that 3 and 5 Dancing weren't as good as this, though.

Not a day goes by without me thinking 'bout
The way the world stopped mid-motion
When you walked into my life and we connected
Like we shared the same mad potion

Couldn't help but move
The threads of fate had spun us
Into each other's lives by chance
All this energy's got us inspired now
We couldn't stop it
Just set it free and
Dance!

better than persona 4 itself, im not joking

This game is actually pretty fun. It's definitely the best persona dancing game. It fits well as a little side story.

Alright, so Gravity Rush isn't actually my final platinum on the PS4. When I saw that I was only two Platinum Trophies away from 150, I decided I wanted my first PS5 platinum to hit that 150 mark as well. Seeing as I didn't just want to play a cheap cash-grab like a Ratalaika game, I decided to play this rhythm based spin-off of one of my top 5 games of all time. And would you believe it, this game is pretty good. There's really not much more to it than that (though therein lies the problem). It is challenging at times, the music is fantastic, and there are customization options galore, which can help spice up having to replay the same songs over and over to grind money for the Platinum Trophy. However, with many tracks only being remixes of songs already included and a story that doesn't fully capture the magical interactions of the original, I can't say that this really succeeds at everything it was trying to accomplish. However, if you're a fan of the Persona 4 characters and rhythm games in general, I'd recommend it.

Rating: 6/10
Platinum Trophy Difficulty: 4/10
