Lunistice does what sonic team hasn't been able to do (for me) in years. It offers a speedy momentum based platformer, In 3D that doesn't feel on rails. too fast to react to or god forbid janky. Lunistice is polished, simple fun. and that's all it really needs to be.

You take the moon and you take the moon and you take the moon and you take the moon and you take the moon and you take the moon and you take the moon

Didn't expect a lot, but I actually ended up being pleasently surprised. Really fun level ggimmicks and tight gameplay.

This game was alright. Was pretty boring. The levels gimmicks didn't really interest me. I just beat the game for the hell of it. It seemed like it was gonna be short and it was. Thank god.

Music and visuals were nice

Solid platformer. Incorporates the fundamentals of 3D Sonic and 3D Mario. Perfecting the whole game was satisfying. Having logs that detail the story is a great way convey a narrative in an otherwise arcade-style game.

Lunistice is a fun little platformer that has some great highlights for its short run time.
I’ve had my eye on this game for a while and finally decided to pick it up for my new Steam Deck. During my 2hrs of game time I had 0 technical issues and ran at a consistent frame rate for the whole time.
Gameplay is primarily platforming with a hand full of enemy’s and trials to beat. In each level you are able to reach an S rank (based on deaths & pick ups), get a secret collectable and have a varied experience based on the character you play as once you beat the game.
Generally I don’t have many significant complaints. I think the music was fine but not particularly memorable and the sound design was average at best. Personally I did not like the main characters model as the face seemed a bit off. It would have been nice for more enemy skin variety rather than just the last 2* levels.
Otherwise the game was quiet fun.
I look forward to hopefully playing more games from the developers in the future.

Simple and Cute! Not a ton of depth or content, but for the price you really cant complain

cute platformer, relaxing but still tough to master, easy rec

Short and sweet little 3D platforming game. Core gameplay is solid, movement feels mostly good, though it can feel a bit imprecise at times, and the colorful art direction is superb. Ultimately, it's worth checking out as a nice little snack in between some bigger games.

I like this new generation of indie 3D Sonic games. Love how Toree is in here as a bonus character too, real recognizes real.

Curtinho, Muito bem feito e divertido

Really short, but really good platformer
Its not that difficult, but rewards you for completing it at 100%
I needed 7 hours for this

A 3D platformer hidden gem which almost flew under my radar. This game plays like if a 3D sonic game came out on the Sega Saturn. The controls are the tightest I've ever felt in a 3D platformer and the level design is so much fun all the way through. Art style is that charming low poly done really well. Music is also really a bop here. Highly recommended for any 3D platformer fan and people who have nostalgia for some older Sega stuff.

Actually a fun indie 3D platformer. Everything in this game just works well and feels great to play while not overstaying its welcome. The story is a little weird and feels a bit out of place, but was also interesting enough that I wanted to know what happens next. It kinda reminds me of 3D Sonic except good.

amazing platformer that is criminally underrated; has a nostalgic feel to it that I love

Rarely remotely engaging. Simple to a fault. The collectathon elements are dull as nearly every secret is just a very clear branching path that acts as a 10 second distraction before you're back on the main path again. The platforming manages to be very flat and uninteresting despite the somewhat whimsical layouts. Level gimmicks besides the beat blocks taken from Mario don't ever add anything of note. Water balls or grind rails for example get very little non-automated gameplay. I feel like I'm just playing a prettier version of subway surfers, completely going through the motions. There's of course a tad more depth if you get into speedrunning it, as is true with just about any game...But the collectibles first focus encourages you to follow the already crushingly linear path most of the time. S ranks being tied to collectibles and no death runs and not on time makes me get bored of playing the stage long before I want to speedrun it--and the lack of movement options makes the prospect of speedrunning not all that interesting anyway.

I do not understand the Sonic comparisons. Sonic at its core is ENTIRELY about momentum. That's what made it cool to begin with. The competition often had very stagnant, binary movement speeds and flat ground. Sonic brought physics based gameplay to the table that made the landscape directly effect your movement options, it's dynamic. Lunistice, even played by the world record holder, is going to move at one set speed the entire way through. Besides of course the -run a bit faster- floors some stages feature...Said stages doing very little with the idea and generally having even tamer platforming than there already was to make up for the slight increase in speed. There's just not really any interesting movement options. You can combine your jump and spin attack to get a higher vertical jump, sacrificing your triple jump...But most of the game doesn't have much verticality. It's a lot of mindlessly holding forward and jumping when you reach a ledge.

Dunno, I hate being hard on small indie games with an insanely low price point. Like man I dream of being talented enough to make something like this. But besides the retro aesthetic I honestly just don't get anything out of it. Despite its very short run time it really overstays its welcome for me. It's like if Toree 3D was 2 hours long and had an extra 5-6 hours of repeat content for completionists. I was already falling off halfway through a casual run let alone going back for 100% cleanup and then doing it all again as a slightly different character 2 more times afterwards. The levels were mid the first time I played them let alone the 4th time on. I just really think platformers with a mostly horizontal layout need to have legitimate obstacles and satisfying movement. 'Cuz otherwise it's like you're playing a Mario Maker level composed entirely of semisolid platforms spaced 4 blocks apart from beginning to end. This is Crash Bandicoot with somehow less of a movement focus, less level variety, less ideas, ineffective enemies, and no sense of adventure or progression. Just has me yawning so hard I'm blinded by tears forming.

Though seeing as most people seem to be into it, this game clearly has an audience and I think that's nifty. If you're less jaded by platformers that play themselves you'll probably vibe with this game a lot more than me. I'm just a bit exhausted by retro throwbacks featuring nothing that made retro games good.

Breezy little platformer. Totally worth the price, it's a fun game!

A PS1-aesthetic platformer blending Sonic and Toree. Controls like a dream, speedy, smooth and precise. The excellent soundtrack and high level of replayability through multiple playable characters makes for a lovely little title well worth your time.

Great game, play it, it's cheap. If big developers can't give us good 3d platformers, indie developers will. Music good, gameplay is stellar, with all the cool level gimmicks. The cool thing is that the level gimmicks never go away, they stay and combine with the others which makes its very fun despite your small move set. Game short, but I love the games where there is 0 down time and just a fun ride the whole way. I'd rather have this than some 50 hour long jrpg or something along those lines. This game is amazing, and I can't wait for the free update that revamps its.

oof. playing this after pseudoregalia is not favorable for this game at all. the platforming / movement is kinda frustrating honestly. at best you can go kinda fast, at worst you're dying because the level didn't properly telegraph a jump and you drop like a rock.

visuals and music are good. i did not go for the extra secret stuff because i found myself wanting to finish the game faster instead of wanting to play more

Platforming feels good, polygons are nice and crunchy, and the color palette is very nice. Definitely evokes a feeling of Sega Saturn. Biggest knock is that the game is simple (but I don't think this game is trying to be more than what it is).

Short and simple 3D platformer. Controls feel pretty nice but not a lot of challenge or substance to it

Amazing 3d platformer for an extremely cheap price.

The platforming is a bit too hard for my liking, and the music isn't to my taste either.

the controls are annoying and hard to move I mean the movement is weird and not consistent

A short but well polished platformer that pays homage to classic 3D Sonic games in a stylistic way. If you're looking for a simple collect-a-thon to pass the day away then I recommend it, the extra characters also add a fun way to replay the experience once finished with some bonus end stages! A few additions I'd love to see in a sequel are a wider variety of enemy types and more in-depth controls as it felt very samey after awhile even with its good presentation.
