I think its clear I enjoy these old arcade games that are simple and don't require much thought. So I did have fun with this one for the 20 minutes I played it for before it got too hard. Made me want to have a beer

Speeds up development of arthritis.

This shit is so fucking addictive
this must be what my fiance was goin through at starbucks on the regular, bless her soul im glad she quit

they should have Tapponte Tapperelli Tapper crossover with VA-11 HALL-A for a quick funny mobile game thtd be pretty gnarly

Customers almost as infuriating as the ones you'd find working retail

If business was this good, why doesn't Tapper just hire a waitress or two?

Obviously because there would be no reason for a game to exist. Buuuuut that could be an excuse for a multiplayer Tapper, which sounds fucking amazing. Imagine the chaos as both players fight over whose fault it is that a mug broke.

the first game i ever emulated! before i really even knew what that meant haha my favorite patron was always rhe lil cowboy dude. thank you MAME!

Tapper is better when it is Root Beer Tapper.

COULDN NOT DO ANYTHING BUT MOVE the game was broken AND WHATWAS THAT NOISE WHEN I PRESSED 2!!!?!??!???!?!?!?!??!?!??!!??!??? fun in theory and i like rootbeer

Great concept, designed well enough to encourage replays (as any good arcade game needed to be). Lots of fun energy in the character animations. Got to try the original cabinet, but without the Budweiser beer tap. It is now a life goal to find a Tapper with an original beer tap joystick.

Has the most music of any game I played on this system, it's certainly a game that really puts on the pressure even if it gets absurdly intense as early as stage 4/5.

Cute can-can

Very solid arcade classic. Fun to practice and get good at.

Encountered the machine for Root Beer Tapper at an arcade I visited with a group of friends and had to stop myself from spending all night playing it. Just a really good game of balancing several things at once, and the physical tap handle really makes it for me. I never really made it that far, but damn I just had a good time.

I’ll never get the Can-Can out of my head because of this game…

Definitely a personal favorite of mine out of Midways 80s arcade lineup. The game is just so goddamn hectic with having to juggle counting shots to send the right number of beers and catching empty glasses while scanning the screen to course out the next plan of attack, it hits that ADHD multitasking brain real good. It definitely seems like there's an amount of luck to the game, as it seems like its entirely RNG how far a customer slides back and how quickly they finish their drinks, and that can just sometimes put you in a bad state where there's just too much going on to feasibly handle. But hey! It certainly gets me wanting to keep trying again and again to see what happens every run. If this is what actual bartending is like though imma start praying for every barkeep on earth out there. And also the ones in space too, apparently, as this game proves that even aliens need their fill of Bud.

If I ever see this at an arcade you know that's an on-sight play. I think there used to be an arcade around me that had this game, but they died a few years back...

Before there was Sneak King, there was Tapper, brought to you by your friends at Budweiser™. One of the first time management games, you serve beer to four lanes of patrons while collecting empty glasses. Nice graphics with cheerful music, but the gameplay loop didn't hold my interest for that long.

Mario serves beers. Later, Waluigi would sell tacos

More like working at Starbucks than anything I’ve seen at any bar I’ve been to in my life tbh

Look if I make an extra beer and that spills it is on me but if a customer rudely slides their empty mug at me while I am clearly busy that is their fault and I should be able to ban them from my bar instead of being punished.

This unironically reminds me of my McDonald's job and I am currently on vacation from that.

Jugué la versión de los simpson y me gustó. Como arcade está entretenido y NO ES INJUSTO COMO OTROS EH, POPEYE EL JUEGO DE ARCADE??????

Hey Tapper
Need another Root Beer!

Unique control scheme that just lets you move the joystick (now shaped like a beer tap) up and down to pour and slide the beers down the bar. The 2nd joystick is a traditional 4-way restrictor plate to move your bartender. Very unique game and pretty addictive. Played the Budweiser version at Funspot in NH.

This game speaks to me as someone who works a regular 9-5, and having to deal with the most uptight asshole customers imaginable. It is also pretty good, with you serving beer n' junk, and it is very satisfying to get a good streak going with points, even if it can be kind of awkward to control at points.

Game #116

No other game in the history of gaming invokes the authentic sensation of being a root beer bartender so well. I'd say this makes it an objective triumph in game design.

i was so good at this game

I've never liked the garish color palettes used for Midway games but this is still a good classic run in spite of that

Screaming, banging fists on the bar, physically assaulting the bartender - this is what happens when you over-serve root beer. Gotta play with the keg tap controller.
