Gorgeous graphics, bringing the Star Wars universe to life in stunning detail. The level design makes exploration a joy, with secrets to uncover in every corner. Building on its predecessor, the game offers a nice twist on the Souls-like formula, challenging players with strategic combat and rewarding progression. The story could be a fitting end to the saga, delivering a conclusion to Cal's journey.

After the fifth crash I think I'm done with this. 12 hours and I can't say I've come out enjoying any of it. Still a fucking technical mess a year from release, the performance absolutely hinders enjoyment of this. But it's not just that, I also don't think it's fun, like at all. Combat is at its best 1 on 1 or small groups of 2-3, but once you have to fight more than two enemies in melee it falls apart, as enemies will use unblockable attacks one after another. It results in severe difficulty spikes where most encounters are a breeze until these points in which case it just becomes frustrating.

I also think exploration in this game is terrible, there are so many places blocked off until you get later abilities that you waste time trying to explore the planets. I get that they don't want you to get completely sidetracked, and they want to leave some areas for later, but it just completely dampened any interest in exploring. It's artificial. I didn't find this hidden area because I was looking carefully, I found it because I looked at my map and it was either green or red, telling me if I was allowed to explore there or not. I get that this is part of the genre it's going for, but it's the execution of it that ruins it. Instead of, oh, I should remember to come back here when I get an upgrade, it's let me check my map every 15 seconds. And then it crashes.

I just never found it fun. It never gave me the chance. Any time I would start to gaze at the beautiful environments the game would start tanking frames on a whim. Or I'd get hit with some annoying ass combat encounter. Or I'd walk into another area only to see my map filled with red objects. Or it would crash again. Yeah I don't need to play any more of this. And I don't think anyone should spend money on this broken trash either.

A horrendous story, wacky gameplay,
I can’t I bought this before Resident Evil 4

Again a great follow-up from fallen order adventure/collectible. I became very immersed in the story but there were times when I felt some direction was confusing but I did figure it out lol. 1 less star a little from that but mainly from the bad port to pc. Took me hours to find a way to get my controller to work with the game.

want to play but can’t get around to it yet

thoroughly enjoyable. a massive step up in ambition, memorability, and scope from fallen order that it's almost unbelievable that they made this in three years. the combat is easily the worst aspect of the game, I mean holy shit. It's basically sekiro but really janky, unresponsive and shitty. Overall a fun game that I as a star wars fan appreciate.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is unfortunately a disappointment, while the first game in the franchise brings a captivating and closed story, a well optimized and polished game, the same cannot be said of the second game, in the PC version sometimes you want to stop playing play, such is the game's lack of performance on PC, more than a year after its launch and EA has not resolved the optimization problems.
In addition to the optimization, the story is weaker than the first game, the fact that it is a canonical story hinders the development of the journey, forcing the team that chose the direction of the story to always avoid big stages and important characters from Star Wars in the period in which the game takes place. For example, for those who have played, you may remember how impactful the story of Star Wars Force Unleashed was, for having the freedom to involve the protagonist in important moments in the history of Star Wars with characters like Palpatine and Darth Vader throughout the story.
Even with all these flaws, the game still has merits, a fun game loop based on the Dark souls franchises and a more in-depth customization of weapons and equipment, which adds greater interest to the game and makes time playing worthwhile. In short, what most disappoints about Jedi Survivor is the waste of a game that could be better, better optimized and even more fun to play.

I was so excited for this game because of Fallen Order and I'm sure most others were too, however I think that is to it's detriment. The game does not hold up as well and still suffers from various performance issues that are unacceptable so far on from it's release. The story isn't as thrilling and, although it is good, it did not build on the first game in a satisfactory way. The graphics and gameplay is nice.

This one didn't have the same vibes as the first in the series for me. Hoping they mix things up for a part three.

The twist in the story soured the entire experience and it felt super unnecessary.

Amazing gameplay but really did not run well even on ps5. Got to a point where I just put up with it but there was a ton of screen tearing. Hopefully they don't let that happen again for the next one but the gameplay was far greater than the first and very fun. Story was much more interesting too.

The metroidvania aspect of this series really takes off in this one. Also, the access to a handlebar mustache customization fulfills a lot of objectives for me.

This was a big improvement over Fallen Order, which I also liked. Exploration was great, and I thought overall the story was good. There were some annoyances such as an improved but still terrible map, and some character motivations that were hard to buy in to, but overall it was a fun ride.

Although I prefer Jedi: Fallen Order in some ways, Jedi: Survivor is a solid game filled with memorable performances and story beats, fun combat with the different lightsaber stances, a staggering amount of customization for Cal, and lots of cool content to explore.

I was a bit disappointed in the amount and variety of locations this game takes us to, but the real downside of this game is the horrendous performance. Stuttering, cutscene delays when using DLSS frame generation, and frequent crashes decreased my enjoyment of this game quite a bit, but not enough to leave a negative review (I am fortunate enough to be playing on a 4070 Ti). This is a game worth playing if you played and enjoyed the first one, and are eager to follow along for what comes next in the third game.

I liked Fallen Order. So I went into this one looking forward to revisit Cal on his adventures.
I was bored out of my skull though. The story was so bland and contentless up until the betrayal. The rest was ok-ish except for how Kata reacted to it all and how fast this part of the game just abruptly ended.
I felt no real stakes, no feelings for characters, Merrin was uglyfied.
Combat was the best part of the game, even though I highly dislike Souls-like games.
The workbench sucked so I rarely spent time in there. Skills and Perks were there and I used it but I was never excited about it.
The exploration in Fallen Order was very fun for me I recall, but they somehow ruined it in this one.
I barely had any reason to complete the game but dragged myself through it.

Finally the performance of this game is appalling. I had heavy ghosting issues when something was in motion, huge audio delay in many cutscenes and way too much loading screens.

They did fix traversal so I did not have to hold in a button while climbing. That was hellar annoying...

Amazing sequel, they imroved on everything the first game offered, the combat, the story, the characters, music and especially exploration, I constantly found myself looking for stuff because that other path looked interesting or it could have something good. Customization is way better not just only ponchos but actual clothing, beards and hairstyles. The new combat styles are great and offer a lot of variety on how to take on enemies. To top it all, this game looks beautiful, great work by Respawn.

Overall a great experience, I really recommend this game.

The story was so weird, with some nice ideas but in general super bland and just... Made no sense.

I played Jedi Fallen Order years ago, and I loved the entire journey all the way through. Jedi Survivor is more of what made Fallen Order so great and even more. I was engaged all the way through, as if I never even stopped playing Fallen Order in the first place. Despite the disastrous launch, I can recommend Jedi Survivor now that most of the issues were fixed up.

At first I wasn’t sure how to feel when they made it more open-world but in the end it wasn’t such a big deal. The different locations all still contain that sense of wonder when you load in, wanting to explore it all. They worked really well off of what’s already established and maintained that feel of one giant adventure that continues to progress and grow. Everything about the game looks amazing and I even found it to have less graphical issues than Fallen Order. There’s not a thing I think I can knock it for presentation wise other than just wishing we got to see more than just Koboh most of the time but yet again, Koboh was made well enough that I didn’t get too tired of it.

For the sequel, I appreciate that they also gave more options of playing the way that you want to play. Every single stance has its purpose and unique feel to it and your style can be enhanced with the perk system added. With the 5 different stances, you can just switch and never get burnt out with the combat with the whole journey, especially now that they made it more Metroidvania-esque. I wish that there was a way to switch between all 5 stances but i was also okay just having two at a time. The level design remains good too; mostly linear outside of Koboh but it also keeps it focused on the story that way which I appreciate. There’s sometimes small periods within fights where you’re completely vulnerable but to me that just served as a way to try fighting with those moments in mind, adding an extra curve along with the enemies which I also loved to fight even if a few were a little spongey.

Something I’m always worried about when it comes to sequels is if they can maintain the same quality of story as the first. That’s not an issue here because the story is just as good as Fallen Order. Hell, you even get moments to speak with the characters outside of the story to find out more about them and get closer. Cal also hasn’t stagnated even though he has more experience under his belt. I was worried that he would become flatter in character after getting more experience but if anything it made him more interesting. He struggles with himself knowing he’s fighting a very uphill battle that he can’t seem to break away from. Everyone vital to the plot adds something to it and I struggled to really find a character that I thought had nothing to them.

Jedi Survivor continues to carry the torch that began with Jedi Fallen Order beautifully. There was rarely a dull moment, as it kept consistently good synergy all the way through. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story will continue and I very much recommend this along with Fallen Order for great adventure games.

this game... did not run very well at all.

but i hit a point where i felt it were playable and had an absolute blast.

may or may not have gotten stuck on the Rayvis fight for an actual 18 hour period BUT I WAS PLAYING ON GM LEAVE ME BE

I think they have a very nice formula with this saga. The open world works very well with the different side stories, the customization, the way they manage collectibles, etc. I specially enjoyed the bounty hunter stuff in this one.

However, it suffers from the same thing most Star Wars spin-offs suffer from, in which the story itself feels like an accessory to the main story we already know from the movies and which they can't seem to separate themselves from. That story is finished, it works by itself, and doesn't need any of these stories in it, which ultimately makes them feel weightless an unimportant. And it's a pity, because I actually like the characters in these games. The story itself would be more interesting if it didn't have to last 15-20 hours.

It's worth mentioning that this game has quite a problem with balancing in combat. Some fights feel like they're trying to emulate Dark Souls combat in terms of struggle, but instead they just feel unfair and boring. That doesn't apply to the whole of the game, and the biggest example of this is an optional fight, so don't let it deter you too much from playing it.
