want to play but can’t get around to it yet

Again a great follow-up from fallen order adventure/collectible. I became very immersed in the story but there were times when I felt some direction was confusing but I did figure it out lol. 1 less star a little from that but mainly from the bad port to pc. Took me hours to find a way to get my controller to work with the game.

A horrendous story, wacky gameplay,
I can’t I bought this before Resident Evil 4

After the fifth crash I think I'm done with this. 12 hours and I can't say I've come out enjoying any of it. Still a fucking technical mess a year from release, the performance absolutely hinders enjoyment of this. But it's not just that, I also don't think it's fun, like at all. Combat is at its best 1 on 1 or small groups of 2-3, but once you have to fight more than two enemies in melee it falls apart, as enemies will use unblockable attacks one after another. It results in severe difficulty spikes where most encounters are a breeze until these points in which case it just becomes frustrating.

I also think exploration in this game is terrible, there are so many places blocked off until you get later abilities that you waste time trying to explore the planets. I get that they don't want you to get completely sidetracked, and they want to leave some areas for later, but it just completely dampened any interest in exploring. It's artificial. I didn't find this hidden area because I was looking carefully, I found it because I looked at my map and it was either green or red, telling me if I was allowed to explore there or not. I get that this is part of the genre it's going for, but it's the execution of it that ruins it. Instead of, oh, I should remember to come back here when I get an upgrade, it's let me check my map every 15 seconds. And then it crashes.

I just never found it fun. It never gave me the chance. Any time I would start to gaze at the beautiful environments the game would start tanking frames on a whim. Or I'd get hit with some annoying ass combat encounter. Or I'd walk into another area only to see my map filled with red objects. Or it would crash again. Yeah I don't need to play any more of this. And I don't think anyone should spend money on this broken trash either.

Gorgeous graphics, bringing the Star Wars universe to life in stunning detail. The level design makes exploration a joy, with secrets to uncover in every corner. Building on its predecessor, the game offers a nice twist on the Souls-like formula, challenging players with strategic combat and rewarding progression. The story could be a fitting end to the saga, delivering a conclusion to Cal's journey.

I didn't really enjoy the parts where it was just a shit ton of enemies, but other than that it was just fantastic, even better than the first game

same thing as the first one but with a different story

Mainio peli kokonaisuudessaan.

Droideka is broken in Holotactics, please nerf.

I was expecting to enjoy this a bit more and I would have if the performance wasn't GARBAGE. Couldn't even hold stable 60fps at medium/low settings with FSR2 ON, absolutely insane.
The story is fine, some moments didn't really impact me as the gamw wants it to.
The graphics had a nice upgrade from what I could see when the game didn't ran like it was on a ps3.
The gameplay also has some cool upgrades, there's more combat moves, stances, powers, all very welcome, but the combat still feels very weird, it's not very responsive and sometimes you'll be fighting multiple enemies and it's a pain in the ass. There's a stance where you can cancel attack animations by blocking so it helps a bit in this regard but the other stances don't have this.
The game has bigger areas now, I didn't really explore a lot tbh, I'd have spent more time with the game if it was actually optimized, I just did the main story and a couple side things here and there.
Overall, it's a nice sequel although it runs terribly on pc and could've improved the combat's responsivity.

I really enjoyed this game and I think it improves a lot on the first game. The gameplay and combat feels great and I love exploring the bigger planets now with lots of side quests. The story is really good as well and the characters are great. The performance is bad at times and really hurts the game overall. It's mainly the cutscenes at least other then one spot on a planet that was really bad. Overall great game and recommended!

Such an AMAZING improvement on the first game in virtually every category. I didn't super enjoy the first game's linearity while still having metroidvania elements, I just thought it made running back through those levels really tedious. But the use of Koboh as the big "open world" area filled with doors and puzzles you'll be able to do later serves those undertones a lot better given that the other, more linear planets don't use much. All the platforming sections and moves you can do during them with force grabs and pulls and shit is awesome, which was also the case in Fallen Order but it's just done much better here. Same goes for combat and the variety within the stances, I found myself changing my secondary stance all the time on the fly because they all felt really satisfying in their own ways! Especially the Blaster stance, it made the really annoying flying enemies look like lil bitches. I found a lot of the characters pretty loveable and great, especially Merrin and Cal, when they were on screen I was hype asf! One gripe I did have with the story was the way that twists and huge emotional moments would just sort of happened without any warning. Without going into spoilers here I just thought those moments impacted me very little in the grand scheme of things but I wasn't going into the game expecting a masterpiece of storytelling. The plot is solid otherwise, the combat fire, the planets fire, the bosses fire (aside from like 12 bounty hunters that are the exact same) and the funny aliens fire.
Skoova Stev might be the greatest person of all time

This was a big improvement over Fallen Order, which I also liked. Exploration was great, and I thought overall the story was good. There were some annoyances such as an improved but still terrible map, and some character motivations that were hard to buy in to, but overall it was a fun ride.

The metroidvania aspect of this series really takes off in this one. Also, the access to a handlebar mustache customization fulfills a lot of objectives for me.

I really love videogames ❤️

A much better game in all ways than the first one.

Pros:
Great characters
Getting as far away as possible from the untouchable films, plot wise
having a story that leads up to maybe the main characters not just getting killed by darth vader at the end of the next game because this series has to fit into the same universe as the star wars trilogy and can't be an alternate story.
Way better cosmetics than the first
A lot more side characters than the first game, the first one felt quite empty

Cons:
I kind of assumed you'd be fixing up the town you keep coming back to overtime, but really its just the one bar. The rest of the town is still a boarded up wasteland.
The combat still doesn't work well when more than like 2 enemies that take more than a few hits to kill show up at once. It at least never caused any deaths on normal mode for me.
While the side characters do at least have some dialogue and the amount of them is impressive, they don't do much beyond a few lines of dialogue.
The few side quests are incredibly simple to the point i'm wondering why they're even there.
Darth Vader still shows up because of course he does.

I wish this game wasn't star wars but instead some generic sci-fi fantasy game instead, because everything star wars has to be one storyline now. Which means that despite these characters constantly talking about wanting to defeat the empire, they can't actually do that because luke and them have to do it in 10ish more years timeline wise. The best I can hope for these characters is that they all don't get violently killed off at the end of the next game.

8/10

An improvement in every way from the previous game

Really bad performance, need mods to solve it. Other than that, I think it is a complete improvement over fallen order in every way. So if you liked fallen order, definitely pick this one up.

please give me every second of my time back

make it stop

a pathetic insult to fallen order, probably the worst triple a single player game ive ever played. graphics are the only thing they tried for, the gameplay and level design are unacceptably bad and it is the worst performing game ive ever played on pc in my 4 years on pc

Played on console so I didn't have any problems with running it, amazingly fun a great sequel with a nice story

It's a pretty decent game, but not much better than the original.

The combat is still fluid and takes heavy inspiration from Dark Souls, the enemy variety is alright, but not enough variety for me personally. What bothers me the most is waiting to give me the better "ultimate" ability until the last, roughly, two hours of fucking gameplay.

The story is more audacious and has a couple of interesting twists that make it more interesting than its predecessor. Although the ending is a bit underwhelming for me. Feels like just a cheap ending to set up yet another sequel to this game which is to be expected of course.

All in all, a decent game... But it's only worth it if you're playing it for "free" on Xbox Game Pass.

Jedi: Survivor is an amazing sequel that understands what made the first game so great, and uses that to take a huge next step. There are numerous optional areas with plentiful collectibles and upgrades, making every inch of the planets feel rewarding and satisfying to explore. There's also many combat additions, but I do wish there was more of an incentive to try more of them as I found I just stuck to one style that worked for me. The story has a lot of cool ideas, but the execution was rather lackluster so I rarely felt very invested. However, the biggest issue of the game is easily the performance. Even after many performance updates, the game still doesn't always run very well. I encountered innumerable bugs, some of which required me to restart the game to progress. This ruined the flow of what is otherwise an extremely enjoyable game.

An amazing sequel that refines some aspects of the first one but also has its setbacks.
First of all this captures the mood of the star wars films flawlessly, the action sequences are top notch and when they happen it's really a feast for the eyes.
The level design is amazing, discovering all the shortcuts and hidden areas is fun, however not as rewarding as it could be. There are A LOT of collectibles and while they are fun to get they don't really bring anything valuable other than cosmetic options. And I do love the amount of customization you can do but after a while it gets tiring to look for all the treasures just to get a new hairstyle or paint for your light saber.
I love the mix of metroidvania level design with soulslike elements to its combat, which can get very challenging. However I will say I prefered Fallen Order's more linear design, for the hundredth time, not every game needs to be an open world. While the massive planets we get are fun to explore and even have different environments within, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I'd prefer to have more, smaller planets.
Story wise, once again most of the characters are super well written an funny at times, with some surprising twists along the way. Bode's betrayal was unexpected and cool but his motivations felt really weak. He wasn't an interesting character to begin with, but making the final chapter about him and making him the final boss was a huge letdown, especially after fighting cool bosses like Rayvis and Darth Vader (!!!!).
And lastly, while it ran super well on my console without any stuttering and only a few visual glitches it did crash a few times which is once again a symptom of modern games not being properly optimized. On one of them it was right after a super difficult boss that I'd just managed to defeat and had to do all over again, it was next level annoying.
All in all a super fun game though, one of my favorites from 2023
