Great game and it is very definitive!

Love the story, but damn the ending sucked; far too abrupt with hardly any resolution (although I do like Joe’s ambiguous fate; I just wish it was made more clear that Vito is now stuck in a life he probably doesn’t want anymore).
The gameplay was about as enjoyable same as the first game (the remake), although gunplay was very repetitive after awhile.
The attention to detail in open world design was stunning and it was a joy to drive around and listen to all the classic hits.
Overall a fun if somewhat dated experience with a great story for the most part and a lot of passion for period authenticity.

Midpiece, jogo medíocre em tudo que se propõe, nego enaltece esse jogo só por tara por temática de mafia. Quando você pensa que gta4 lançou em 2008 você percebe o quão mal feito é isso aqui, toda trilogia mafia é medíocre.

this is a game that wishes it was a movie, and i wish it was a movie too.
never have i realized how much some games wanna be other medium while trying their hardest to milk the platform they are in, here is a game that wants to tell a story with all its strenght but is so ashamed to be a ''game'' that it only does the bare minimun a game should have in order to sell it as one, i was wondering why i wasn't liking the open world in this game for a while, even if its small and rather thematically pleasing, the reason is that its padding, the entire open world is just padding, its so they can get away with making you spend a total of 12 to 17 hours driving from A to B and call it a game at the end of your experience, ocasionally you'll participate in the barebones shootout (around 6 to 8 times max) if you took off the padding of the driving, all you'd have is a bunch of cutscenes and very few shooting sections, its like it doesn't wanna be a game and it had to be one.
its not the map padding either, the game asks itself ''what do open worlds have ??'' then add small things to fill the quota.
open world has clothing ? add 6 or 7 clothing styles max
open world has car customization ? let them change the tires and the car number.
it also legitimatelly punishes you if you just wanna fuck around too, unlike other open worlds that know they are basically theme based toyboxes, this one will only allow you to stay in the mission path and if you try to have some weird fun, it will punish you by forcing you to go change clothes or change car because you can't just avoid the police, you gotta do a boring stealth drive to change everything then go back to doing missions like a very good boy player of gameTM that you are, compare it to something like yakuza 2 which didn't had half the budget this had yet knew how to be a compelling story AND a great game and you see where i'm coming from.
yet despite all that i was greatly invested in the characters and the story, even if it boils down to a mafia slice of life with really dumb protags. overall i don't know what to think so i think it sucks but i would watch the cutscenes on youtube anytime

De longe a melhor versão do jogo, os gráficos estão lindos, com legendas em PT-BR. Acho que todo mundo que quer jogar alguma coisa da franquia Mafia depois do Remake do I deveria experimentar o II.

Estava muito afim de jogar um jogo de gangue que se passa no passado, não tinha Red Dead então foi Mafia II, mesmo sabendo que a época que os jogos se passam são bem diferentes. O jogo progride em dois tempos distintos, um em 1945 e outra em 1951, após um timeskip relacionado com eventos da história, durante todo esse tempo o player controla Vittorio Antonio Scaletta, de apelido Vito, imigrante italiano vindo de família pobre que decide entrar no mundo das máfias ítalo americanas para mudar isso.Em todo o tempo o game se passa na cidade fictícia de Empire Bay, que tem uma ambientação fantástica e é possível ver a diferença em questão da modernização antes e depois do timeskip, o que é perfeito. A história é simplesmente bizarra de boa, prendendo o jogador do início ao fim, tendo personagens muitíssimo carismáticos com o Joe e Leo, dentre outros, um enredo que progride de maneira leve e vai ficando mais pesado conforme o jogo evolui e um final que é extremamente foda, um dos melhores em quetão de narrativa que joguei ultimamente. Sobre a trilha sonora, ela surpreende principalmente quando se fala das rádios que tem no jogo, que tocam algumas músicas da época que o game se passa, dando uma maior imersão, são poucas músicas, só que elas dão para o gasto e como o cenário, após o timeskip as músicas também mudam, já os efeitos sonoros são muito bons. Porém nem tudo são flores, a gameplay é típica do gênero na pegada de GTA, um mundo aberto em terceira pessoa que tem ambientação base as cidades, mudando só os cenários, mas infelizmente ela deixa a desejar, a câmera do jogo é horrenda, deixando difícil atirar quando está subindo ou descendo escadas, só que o pior ainda está por vir que é o quão mal otimizado é o jogo no PS4, quedas de fps, bug visuais que transformam prédios em borrões e outros, além de uma ia bem fraca para os npc’s. Na minha opinião o jogo vale a pena, mas só compensa pega-lo em alguma promoção ou em forma de serviço, como a PS plus.

Eu tive minha primeira experiência com Mafia jogando o remake de 2020. E honestamente, me surpreendeu bastante. Os gráficos, a gameplay, e principalmente a história me pegaram de surpresa. O conto sobre o taxista Tommy Angelo, que começa a ir mais e mais fundo na toca de coelho que é a vida mafiosa, e quando se dá conta do quão fundo foi, não consegue mais ver a luz da saída.
Como podem ver, eu estava ansioso pra ver a sequência desse jogo, então fui com sede ao pote... e me decepcionei.

Ela poderia ter continuado e continuado, igual uma série de TV muito popular. Ela não tem um ápice, não tem momentos tristes nem memoráveis. É facilmente esquecível. Esse é meu problema com ela.
A gameplay é tremendamente boa. As armas, a mecânica de dirigir, de quebrar fechaduras, tudo é extremamente fluido e satisfatório. É super divertido roubar uma loja e sair correndo da policia em carros dos anos 50/60. E tudo sem bugs.
Se na gameplay o jogo não tem bugs, nos gráficos... meu deus. Eu enfrentei diversos bugs gráficos: rostos deformados, texturas inexistentes... e a lista continua. Os gráficos em si não são ruins, mas a qualidade do remaster é duvidosa. É possível inclusive notar, enquanto você estiver em um carro em alta velocidade, o ponto em que o jogo aplica o filtro e o ponto que o filtro acaba. Um pouco mal feito, mas no limite do aceitável.
Resumindo, é um ótimo jogo. Recomendo? Sim, é um jogo extremamente divertido. É melhor que seu antecessor? Não, nem a pau.

Esse segundo jogo é uma maluquice! O Mafia 1 tinha uma narrativa inteligente e uma trama concisa, tudo rodava ao redor do mesmo tema, já esse jogo aqui ele não sabe que história quer contar, é uma coisa que puxa a outra e no meio disso vão te jogando nome atrás de nome e é muito fácil se perder ou sentir que você tá sem rumo na história. E os personagens desse também perdem muito pro primeiro jogo, quem se salva aqui é o Joe Barbarro, mas tirando ele o protagonista é uma porta sem sentimentos, ele foi pra guerra, ele vai preso, a mãe dele morre, queimam sua casa... e nada parece realmente afetar o Vito, o cara é uma pedra, e essas coisas não trazem consequência nenhuma pra história, então é muito difícil se conectar com essa história e deixou muito a desejar pra mim.
O gameplay foi uma complicação, eu tive que me adaptar aos controles da época do PS3 e XBOX 360, esse gameplay devia ser ótimo pra época, mas pra hoje em dia foi o motivo de quase desistir de jogar no início. Apesar disso eu me peguei me divertindo e querendo jogar mais, então não é um jogo ruim.

Mafia 2, and I must say that it is quite good technically, the only technical thing that failed me a lot is the AI of the NPCs, since many enemies could not be found or they did not advance and I had to go look for them, which is annoying, It's not great, but not to play it, it's an "open world" since it lets you do what you want only between missions, which takes away from the immersion (immersion, which is the best thing about the game). I feel like this game could perfectly be a movie and would work better. since there are many missions that are about going from point A to point B and are only to advance the story. The rest of the gameplay feels pretty good, the shootings are the main thing, I didn't like the driving as much but it's not bad. overall I recommend it 9/10

Mafia 2 in my opinion is the perfect sequel to the 1st game and comes out as a better game at the end of it. The story is somehow better, with two great likeable characters in Joe and Vito and a narrative that takes you on an emotional journey full of great missions and enjoyable characters.
When it comes to the setting in Mafia 2, as soon as you take the first car ride through Empire Bay you can see how perfect the devs have got that 1940s America vibe. The streets are busy, the shops and billboards all have that oldies aesthetic and the radio station plays some great 40s classics that really help drive that atmosphere home. Its also really nice to see that the environment changes depending what era you're in, as the game takes place in both the 40s and the 50s. The car models change, the music changes and so does the city around you. Little things like that really help immerse you.
So if the environment is perfect for the setting, what about the characters? Everybody you meet in this game is exactly what you'd expect an Italian-American mobster to be. As for the main character Vito Scaletta, wow what a character, and the same goes for his partner in crime Joe Barbaro who has some of the funniest one-liners in the game. 2K really hit the nail on the head with their character writing again.
The gameplay in Mafia 2 is such an improvement on the first (even compared to the remake), with shooting and driving feeling a lot more smoother and less frustrating to work your way around. There were also less times I found myself getting annoyed with a mission. In Mafia 1, there are quite a few missions that have you tearing your hair out but this one didn't really do that for me, with my time playing being a lot more enjoyable on this title. It's definitely still very simplistic and could maybe benefit from some more unique missions, but that's what you get with these sort of games
The story of this game is stellar. The best in the Mafia series and I hope if there is a 4th game, that they take a lot of inspiration from this one. There are a lot more unforgettable moments in this game that had me laughing, crying or just happy as hell. As mentioned earlier, Joe and Vito really make this narrative shine, bringing the magic to those scenes while you're playing.
Something I would like to point out though, is that if you are going to play this game, I would suggest going for the classic edition. Unfortunately this port has a lot of audio and visual glitches that happen throughout the game. The devs haven't fixed them since the Mafia bundle dropped so I doubt they are going to do anything anytime soon
Bugs aside though, I really did love this game and would highly recommend checking it out. It's just a shame everything goes downhill from this title

Quite good for the most part - definitely not as well written as the original, but more fun to play. It is a shame this is the buggiest game I've played aside from Cyberpunk at launch. Driving was a nightmare - every minute or so I would get screen tearing type pixel effect; and during night-time the lights would be so bright the screen was basically just white. But knowing it was short and enjoying it otherwise pushed me through it. It probably doesn't deserve the remake treatment the first game got, but it definitely deserved more care and respect.

It was great, though I did stumble upon a a few technical errors, I enjoyed the story of Vito and the downward spiral his life takes as the life he wanted only put him in the same place. The gameplay felt directly refined with better combat, like a surprising depth to melee.
Once again a great story but really feels like a game from 2010 despite being a remaster and the ending is kinda ass
The game world is pretty, but unfortunately also completely irrelevant. Everything only serves as a backdrop. As a result, the sometimes long journeys to mission goals are boring. But those who stick out here will still be rewarded with a great, atmospheric gangster story that shines with interesting characters throughout.

Histoire simple efficace, mais de gros soucis de performances qui peuvent ruiner l'expérience de jeu, en plus de la gestion de L'IA qui rend fou, des voitures qui spawn de nulle part sans parler des tours de police, de l'open world qui sert de prétexte...
Mais en vrai le jeu était sympa, la difficulté était parfaite et l'histoire reste prenante, la fin choque de fou et Vito Scaletta est tellement le perso que les affranchis auraient aimé avoir, ça reste un classique à faire et c'est une bonne ambiance malgré tout.

Поговорим сначала об этой версии игры.
Спустя два года после релиза, разрабы так и не смогли исправить косяки. Они, конечно, игру не ломают, но делают опыт от неё менее приятным. То у героя перестанет отображаться шляпа и будет виден странный разрез головы, как будто Вито вышел из больницы после неудачной операции на мозге. То свет будет просвечивать сквозь балки на крыше. То герой будет стоять в текстуре кровати. То во время катсцены у одного из героев будут косые глаза и т.д.
Про русскую озвучку я промолчу. Она свой функционал выполняет, но не более того.
Что касается самой игры, то тут тоже есть вопросы. Во-первых, копы в этой игре крайне жалкие. Смыться от них не составит никакого труда. Более того, вам даже не надо будет менять номер машины, хотя игра учила делать это для таких целей. Соблюдать правила на дороге тоже не надо. Даже в присутствии копов можно проехать на красный свет, хотя в первой части, они бы тут же начали погоню.
Магазины с оружием абсолютно бессмысленные, потому что вы и так получите оружие во время заданий. К тому же есть шанс, что вы можете потерять всё оружие, потому что так потребовал сюжет. Походы в магазин не имеют никакого смысла, имхо. Их можно грабануть, но зачем вам все эти вещи и деньги, если всё и так вам дают за бесплатно. Если нужны деньги, то можно потратить 15 минут и украсть пару машин на продажу. Вообще странная ситуация. Если герои хотят денег, то им же реально проще машины красть, лол. И не надо вступать ни в какую мафию. За 15 минут можно заработать 2к долларов.
Стрельба в игре нормальная. Очень порадовала система разрушения. Всё разлетается на щепки и во время крупных перестрелок это выглядит очень эффектно.
Сюжет сумбурный, но понравилось, что он с двойным дном. Бэкграунд главного героя к концу сливается с основными событиями в игре, что очень круто. Однако, концовка полное говно, с закосом на ДЛС.
Атмосфера хороша, но всё равно было такое чувство, будто чего-то не хватает. Сложно сказать чего, поэтому можете пропустить эту претензию мимо ушей. Просто говорю про личный опыт.
Даже не знаю, стоит ли рекомендовать или нет. Если будет крупная скидка на игру - почему бы и нет. Брать за полную цену я бы не стал из-за выше перечисленных моментов.

То у героя перестанет отображаться шляпа и будет виден странный разрез головы, как будто Вито вышел из больницы после неудачной операции на мозге. То свет будет просвечивать сквозь балки на крыше. То герой будет стоять в текстуре кровати. То во время катсцены у одного из героев будут косые глаза и т.д.
Про русскую озвучку я промолчу. Она свой функционал выполняет, но не более того.
Что касается самой игры, то тут тоже есть вопросы. Во-первых, копы в этой игре крайне жалкие. Смыться от них не составит никакого труда. Более того, вам даже не надо будет менять номер машины, хотя игра учила делать это для таких целей. Соблюдать правила на дороге тоже не надо. Даже в присутствии копов можно проехать на красный свет, хотя в первой части, они бы тут же начали погоню.
Магазины с оружием абсолютно бессмысленные, потому что вы и так получите оружие во время заданий. К тому же есть шанс, что вы можете потерять всё оружие, потому что так потребовал сюжет. Походы в магазин не имеют никакого смысла, имхо. Их можно грабануть, но зачем вам все эти вещи и деньги, если всё и так вам дают за бесплатно. Если нужны деньги, то можно потратить 15 минут и украсть пару машин на продажу. Вообще странная ситуация. Если герои хотят денег, то им же реально проще машины красть, лол. И не надо вступать ни в какую мафию. За 15 минут можно заработать 2к долларов.
Стрельба в игре нормальная. Очень порадовала система разрушения. Всё разлетается на щепки и во время крупных перестрелок это выглядит очень эффектно.
Сюжет сумбурный, но понравилось, что он с двойным дном. Бэкграунд главного героя к концу сливается с основными событиями в игре, что очень круто. Однако, концовка полное говно, с закосом на ДЛС.
Атмосфера хороша, но всё равно было такое чувство, будто чего-то не хватает. Сложно сказать чего, поэтому можете пропустить эту претензию мимо ушей. Просто говорю про личный опыт.
Даже не знаю, стоит ли рекомендовать или нет. Если будет крупная скидка на игру - почему бы и нет. Брать за полную цену я бы не стал из-за выше перечисленных моментов.
