I constantly see this game getting praised for whatever reasons, but I can't really relate to any of them.
Writing? There are some fresh looks on problems of society and individuals, but most of them are kind of old news, and mixing them up with goofy dialogues(to be fair, most of them are kind of funny) doesn't help. Story itself though is a bit mixed up and over convoulted( at least at the point where I stopped playing).
Setting? Not gonna lie, the dystopian world where you get killed by goverment for filing a complaint and your death is ruled out as suicide and every second citizen is a pervert is a bit over the top.
Art? Not too fond of combinating voxel surroundings and hand-painted portraits.
Music? Yeah, it's catchy and somewhat unusual, but not something memorable.
Gameplay? There were some interesting moments ( I found the colored-key segment hilarious, tbh), but most of the tims it's just a VN.
Maybe I just have some prejudice towards this game since the only other Suda's game I've played is NMH. I'll give it another try someday, but I don't really think my mind will change.

Fucking classic, I haven't played it yet.

deus ex is an absolute masterpiece. it is the best game of all time, period. there are zero exceptions. get outta here with ocarina of time or chrono trigger, this is up & down the definition of the word "kino". everyone should play this, even if immersive sims are not your thing.

oh, and of course "what a shame".

playing moon is akin to seeing a weird disturbing cartoon once late at night when you were a kid whose name you forget but is so crystallized in your plasticine hippocampus that it directly affects every decision you make and occasionally paralyzes you with a sudden fear of being young and afraid but also like you’re the only person that sees certain arcane patterns in the world, but like, if that experience lasted for 10-15 hours

Protag: Ow, my ass hurts-

Character: That reminds me of this story where this scientist hit his ass on the edge of a table, but didn’t feel it. Then, months later, he died of ass pain. They call it Temporal Ass Pain or TAP

Protag: I’d TAP that-

Character: Say we took two asses, and we both slapped them really hard, there’d be a 56.000079% chance that one of them won’t feel it. That pain didn’t just get absorbed by the ass tissue, it’s being transported to the future. They call people who don’t feel Ass pain until later…TAPers…I wonder…if they could transport ass pain to someone else-

Zero: Ive injected Ass Poison into all of your left buttcheeks. You have exactly 2 hours to solve my Ass Slap puzzle.

Dropped after the demo ended, watched some of the further bits of it.
Gameplay is absolutely horrid.
The presentation is phenomenal. The style is great.
The story is decent (I got up to finishing 1/3 of the game). But there's not much depth to it. The writing style is engaging and makes you think, but most people mistake an interesting style with a good story.

The Silver Case is the equivalent of a decent writer mimicking a master poet and writing a story like "Bob stabbed Jane. Jane bled out her butt. Wacky spooky"

I wish Mikami would put Tyson quotes in all his games the way Matsuno puts Queen references in all of his.

i think I may have schizophrenia

They don't mention Schrödinger's cat. How am I suppose to know this is a visual novel
